Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Writer to join the dynamic Country Life team. We can offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Britain’s most iconic brands, shaping its digital future. Reporting directly to the Digital Content Director, you will create engaging, high-quality content that resonates with our audience while supporting Country Life’s mission to expand its digital footprint.

What you'll be doing

  • Write compelling and original articles, features, and stories that align with Country Life’s brand values and audience interests.
  • Create content that appeals to a diverse audience while maintaining the tone and authority synonymous with Country Life.
  • Ensure all content is optimised for SEO, utilising best practices for keywords, metadata, and readability to drive traffic and engagement.
  • Stay ahead of digital trends and analytics to suggest new content ideas and formats, including opportunities for multimedia storytelling.
  • Work with the editorial, commercial, and social media teams to ensure cohesive and integrated content across all digital platforms.
  • Conduct in-depth research on a variety of topics, ensuring accuracy and relevance in all published content.
  • Upload and format articles, images, and multimedia content within the CMS, adhering to deadlines and publication schedules.
  • Monitor article performance using analytics tools, providing recommendations to improve future content.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Experience digital writing, for a lifestyle, culture, or heritage brand.
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and tools such as Google Analytics and SEMrush.
  • Comfortable navigating content management systems (CMS) and working with digital platforms.
  • Balance creativity with commercial considerations and tailor content to different platforms and audiences.
  • Experience with topics that align with Country Life, such as British heritage, rural life, architecture, nature, and luxury living.

This is a Hybrid role from our London Office, working three days from the office, two from home
