Job Description

At PA Consulting, we deliver ingenuity to transform businesses, solve complex problems, and design impactful solutions that enhance customer experiences. As part of the Digital and Data team, you will help bridge the gap between business challenges and innovative solutions, contributing to projects that make a tangible difference.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their consulting career, looking to grow their expertise and deliver real value to clients across diverse industries.

What you’ll do:

  • Work across a variety of consulting roles including business analysis, strategy development and scrum master

  • Work closely with clients and internal teams to gather, document, and refine business and technical requirements. You'll define problems, articulate opportunities, and shape clear solutions to align with client objectives.

  • Support the design of as-is and to-be processes by mapping user journeys, analysing pain points, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Conduct market and user research, applying techniques like interviews, workshops, and surveys to extract actionable insights. You'll also assist with competitor analysis and trend identification.

  • Translate high-level business needs into detailed user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and technical feasibility.

  • Play a key role in Agile teams, participating in ceremonies such as stand-ups, backlog refinements, and sprint reviews, while ensuring work aligns with the project vision and roadmap.

  • Use consulting frameworks and tools, such as SWOT analysis, prioritisation matrices, Jira, and Miro, to structure your work and communicate ideas effectively to teams and clients.

  • Support qualitative and quantitative analysis to uncover insights and inform decision-making. You’ll identify patterns in data, draw conclusions, and recommend actionable solutions.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Strategists and other stakeholders to manage product backlogs, prioritise features, and ensure deliverables meet user and business needs.

  • Assist in designing and facilitating workshops, enabling teams to collaboratively refine solutions and prioritise delivery activities.

  • Actively contribute to business development initiatives, including preparing proposals, creating bid content, and supporting account management activities.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across diverse industries, develop your consulting and technical toolkit, and build meaningful relationships that drive your career forward.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in a digital environment, with experience across business analysis, consulting, digital strategy or a related role with exposure to requirements gathering, process mapping, and Agile methodologies.

  • Comfortable working across all PA industries including Consumer & Manufacturing, Public Sector, Defence & Security, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services and Transport.

  • An ambitious individual with a proactive and curious approach to learning, with a desire to build a varied consulting career and deliver impactful solutions.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and develop strategic recommendations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with tools and techniques such as Jira, Miro, user journey mapping, and prioritisation frameworks.

  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and deliver as part of a cohesive unit.

Hybrid Working

We believe in collaboration and are guided by our client's work and needs; however, we value flexibility too. Our hybrid working model lets you balance work and life, with most roles requiring at least three days a week in the office or on client sites.
