Job Description

AECOM is seeking for a forward-thinking Digital Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in shaping how we design, build, and optimise our digital engineering products. In this role, you’ll work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyse complex business processes, and translate data into actionable solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. You’ll lead the creation of system documentation, support user testing, champion best-practice digital processes, and help implement new technologies, including advanced analytics, AI, and automation. Role responsibilities: 

· Work closely with our customers to drive requirement gathering for digital engineering products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.

· Drive identification of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through evaluation of real-time data, utilising advanced analytics tools and methodologies.

· Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing forward-thinking systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.

· Create and implement precise management plans for every project, with attention to transparent communication at all levels, including stakeholders, team members, and end-users.

· Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.

· Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability and optimal user experience.

· Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and automation opportunities.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative digital solutions that address complex business challenges.

· Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.

· Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather insights, resolve conflicts, and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.

· Perform cost-benefit analyses for proposed digital solutions and present findings to senior management for decision-making.

· Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending potential applications to enhance business operations.

· Provide training and support to end-users on new systems and processes, ensuring smooth adoption and maximising ROI.

· Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implemented solutions and identify areas for continuous improvement.

· Collaborate with data scientists and IT teams to leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies in business process optimisation.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

· A few years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity

· Proven analytical abilities

· Practical experience generating process documentation and reports

· Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

· Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio

· Proven capabilities in project and user-testing management

· Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions

· Extensive experience with data visualisation

· Highly proficient technical writing capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or Computer Science
