Story so far

Since Sir Jim Ratcliffe announced Project Grenadier in 2017, our team at INEOS Automotive has grown rapidly. From a start-up to the scaled business we are now, we’ve hit some huge milestones along the way. Despite some global challenges, we brought our first vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier, from a vision to prototype and to market in just five years. And now, as the first customer deliveries of our INEOS Grenadier have begun, we look to the future with our first all-electric vehicle.

Position Description

This position’s primary function is to provide applications and solutions consulting, by understanding, analysing and translating business and technical requirements to enhance, support and facilitate the design of business enabling solutions.  

Seeking a highly motivated professional with excellent personal and communication skills and strong experience with SAP, to work as a Digital Solution Architect and preferably, with a strong track record working with Automotive OEM’s, specifically focused on Digital Technologies such as; CRM, E-Commerce, Web, Mobile App, Digital Payment Systems/Gateways, Digital Marketing Solutions (SAP Emarsys, Saleforce), Events Management, OEM Car Configurators


  • Ability to document and articulate complex architectures at a high level for a given domain.
  • Ability to identify changes required within a given architecture to deliver business change, architectural simplification, or removal of technical debt.
  • Ability to deliver complex solution design covering data, application, and integration.
  • Developed analytical skills with the ability to solve complex and ambiguous problems.
  • Well-developed team leadership skills.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to think logically to analyse and solve problems.
  • Able to build a consensus and drive and agree technical direction.
  • Experience with architectural frameworks, tools, service-oriented architecture and building architectural artefacts.

Desired Experience

  • Experience working as a Digital Solution Architect and ideally within an Automotive OEM
  • Experience working as a Digital Solution Architect designing e-commerce solutions across heterogenous environments
  • Experience in core SAP Products; S4, C4C, SAP Emarsys
  • Experience in SAP and non-SAP Enterprise Integration Technologies and tools e.g. Microsoft Azure Integration Technologies
  • Experience in time and project management using Agile or Waterfall principals.
  • Experience in training, presenting, and communicating technical topics to a non-technical audience at all levels.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge and experience, working with current and core SAP Products and Solutions;
  • S4, C4C, Emarsys, CPI, VMS, LBN, NetWeaver, BTP
  • Strong knowledge and experience, working with TOGAF standards, principles, guidelines etc
  • A proven track record, working as a Senior Solution Architect and a concise understanding of current architectural best practices
  • Preferably, experience working within an Automotive OEM as a Solution Architect or Senior Solution Architect
  • Experience in SAP and non-SAP Enterprise Integration Technologies and tools e.g. Microsoft Azure Integration Technologies, IBM MQ etc
  • Experience in time and project management using Agile or Waterfall principals.
  • Experience in training, presenting, and communicating technical topics to a non-technical audience at all levels.
  • Experience using Enterprise Architecture tools such as Archimate, iServer365, Alfabet etc.
  • Pragmatism to provide applications and solutions consulting, by understanding, analysing and translating business and technical requirements to enhance, support and facilitate the design of business enabling solutions.
