What you'll do

As a Digital Project Manager, you’ll be managing the delivery of digital initiatives and other changes to our digital channels with a strong focus on customer first.  Leading projects from initial discovery through to post-live validation and monitoring, while making sure that the brand, customer experience and impacts on customer needs are considered at every stage.  You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including UX and UI designers, UX researchers, developers and product owners.

You’ll also be:

  • Planning, running and delivering multiple digital design projects by collaborating with design and development teams to translate customer insights into actionable project plans
  • Ensuring governance, reporting and control, including all required delivery documentation using the appropriate framework and processes
  • Owning risks, issues and dependencies, including assessments, ensuring mechanisms are in place to identify, report, manage, mitigate and escalate within the defined risk appetite
  • Promoting continuous improvements, including engagement in delivery retrospectives to identify opportunities to improve processes and techniques to drive efficiencies and quality
The skills you'll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll need the ability to deliver large, complex initiatives end to end, realising business outcomes and improvements to customer experience that support strategic direction. Championing design thinking and user experience best practices throughout the project.
 

You'll need an understanding of digital design with strong focus on UX and UI design and research processes, allowing for effective collaboration with designers and ensuring that the end product delivers an optimal customer experience.

In addition, you’ll bring knowledge and an understanding of technology systems and processes, as well as Agile methodology and experience in business change delivery. You’ll also need the proven ability to adapt to quickly changing environments.

You’ll also need:

  • The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to colleagues at all levels, and influence, inspire and engage customers and colleagues
  • Strong analytical skills to identify potential roadblocks, assess risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on track
  • An understanding and experience of change frameworks and idea to value tools and methodologies, demonstrating the ability to manage the full project lifecycle end to end by delivering digital projects on time and within scope
  • A deep understanding of human centred design principles and design thinking methodologies
  • The ability to provide expertise in digital channels, including mobile, online and digital propositions
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, analytics, customer research and experience management, including journey mapping, UX and funnel management
  • Good creative thinking, collaboration and stakeholder management skills
