We’re looking for a tenacious and well-rounded Freelance Digital PR Consultant for the French market, equally capable across brand creative and performance-driven approaches. As Popsa’s founding Digital PR support in France, your mission is to establish our presence in this market, help shape the strategic direction of our PR efforts and lay the foundations for sustainable channel growth. You’ll work closely with other market-specific PR leads and draw on support from our central editorial team to ensure consistency in quality and storytelling.

You’ll bring a broad understanding of digital PR in all its forms, whether content led or product led, SEO informed or brand focused. As an individual contributor, you will use your existing network of PR contacts in France to help elevate Popsa’s brand message and product awareness.

You’ll collaborate confidently with teams across Creative, SEO and beyond, moving quickly across multiple communication channels to deliver impactful work. While you understand digital PR strategy, your primary mission is to execute it with precision, pace and creativity. This role is hands-on and suited to someone who has helped scale tech or digital-first brands and thrives in environments with high autonomy and ambitious growth targets.

What success looks like:

  • Establish a consistent drumbeat of high-quality PR output for the French market with clear, repeatable processes.
  • Launch a balanced mix of brand, content and product-led PR initiatives that demonstrate creativity and performance impact.
  • Secure meaningful media coverage across France by leveraging an existing network and building new relationships.
  • Deliver PR activities that contribute to improved organic visibility through earned coverage and high-quality links.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with Creative,  Editorial and SEO teams to enable smooth collaboration and delivery at pace.
  • Become the internal point of contact for PR in France, trusted to manage brand risk and uphold editorial standards.
  • Create a proactive pipeline of stories, campaigns and seasonal opportunities tailored to the French market.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver results independently while contributing to a scalable international PR framework.

What you bring:

  • Fluency (ideally native) in both spoken and written French.
  • Proven experience delivering impactful digital PR work for consumer, tech or app-first brands.
  • Deep knowledge of the French media landscape across lifestyle, tech, trends and news.
  • A strong network of French journalists and publishers, with a track-record of securing high-quality coverage.
  • A talent for shaping product features into human-centred stories that people care about.
  • Sound editorial judgement and the ability to manage reputational risk with confidence.
  • Experience collaborating with Creative, Editorial and SEO teams to maintain coherent, optimised messaging.
  • A performance-aware mindset, comfortable tying creative PR output to measurable outcomes such as earned links and brand visibility.
  • A proactive, opportunistic approach that drives storytelling and outreach independently.
  • Clear, compelling communication aligned with Popsa’s warm, intelligent and inclusive tone.
  • Worked in high-growth environments where autonomy, pace and adaptability are essential.

  • Nice to have…

  • Hands-on SEO and link acquisition experience.
  • Experience using proprietary data to shape press stories.
  • Knowledge of mobile consumer behaviour, photography habits or memory curation trends.
  • Experience contributing to PR initiatives across multiple international markets.

Your responsibilities

  • Deliver digital PR activity for the French market, shaping narratives that champion Popsa’s mission and resonate with local audiences.
  • Build and manage relationships with key French media, securing high-quality coverage across lifestyle, tech and consumer outlets.
  • Develop and deliver a steady pipeline of PR stories and campaigns informed by product updates, proprietary data, cultural trends and seasonal moments.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Editorial and SEO teams to produce cohesive, app-first, optimised PR materials and ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Execute day-to-day PR delivery, including pitching, briefing, media coordination and preparing press-ready assets.
  • Monitor coverage, measure performance, extract insights that inform future PR strategy and share success stories with the team.
  • Uphold Popsa’s editorial standards by identifying reputational risks early and ensuring all external communication reflects the brand’s inclusive tone.
