This is an exciting and interesting time to join the AECOM Energy team covering all aspects of work within Transmission and Distribution (T&D), Renewables and Nuclear decommissioning, twinned with this is our ever-expanding digital scope, ensuring a variety of projects to work on.

The growth of the digital team in the Energy sector requires the appointment of a Digital Optimisation Lead who will take a lead role in guiding our internal delivery teams to transform and optimise our engineering deliverables and implementation of digital adoption technology and product development. The main objective will be to provide comprehensive end-to-end project team support, facilitating the integration of digital solutions into our business operations. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our CAMs and delivery teams. As a key player in executing our digital strategy for optimisation, you will support digital teams, facilitate cross market collaboration and be a champion for adoption.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Digital adoption across region – identify areas where upskilling and support in project delivery is required to successfully deliver digital methods of working.
  • Collaborate Globally: Build trusted relationships with our global leads. Ensuring global initiatives are cascaded across the team and meet the regions requirements.
  • Act as digital lead across multiple projects or framework.
  • Responsible for ensuring suitable resources are identified and allocated to projects.
  • Point of contact within region for technical software queries.
  • Present at regional Energy townhalls, communicate with local teams’ digital initiatives, updates and successes
  • Work with Energy Digital Lead to plan and develop digital strategies and successfully deliver owned elements of plan
  • Work with the Energy digital leadership team to enhance AECOMs market profile as a leading provider of digital solutions in the Energy end market through thought leadership pieces, conference presentation, professional meetings etc.
  • Foster improvements in quality and efficiency by integrating digital tools and methodologies.
  • Track and communicate progress using metrics such as software token usage, client satisfaction surveys, and rework rates.
  • Enhance the success of project execution by collaborating with Project Managers and technical leaders to guarantee optimal resource utilisation and the selection of appropriate digital tools and solutions during the Digital Deep Dive process.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience in mentoring and coaching technical and non-technical teams-
  • Experience of influencing non-technical executive stakeholders from around the business
  • Demonstrated experience in work winning (for digital or technology practices, digital solutions)
  • Demonstrated collaborative influencing skills-
  • Demonstrated ability to support delivery of flagship projects for our clients
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skill
  • Demonstrated innovation in delivery methods
  • Knowledge of commercial workflows- Experience working in regional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Information Management, or relevant field
  • Desirable Professional Certification: Information Management Attributes/skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work as a positive, energised and adaptable team member
  • Flexible with work times to align with colleagues in different time zones
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and influence potential customers and senior leaders.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement ideas/programs/solutions
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, able to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
  • Able to demonstrate passion, energy and drive

You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment.
