Your new role

As a Digital Journalist at LBC, you will be at the forefront of delivering breaking news, insightful analysis, and engaging content to a fast-growing online audience. You'll work in a dynamic newsroom, writing high-quality articles that align with LBC’s reputation for bold and thought-provoking journalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and publish compelling news articles, features, and analysis for LBC’s website and digital platforms.
  • React quickly to breaking news, ensuring fast and accurate coverage.
  • Work closely with editors, producers, and broadcasters to translate on-air discussions into engaging digital content.
  • Conduct research, interviews, and fact-checking to uphold journalistic integrity.
  • Optimize content for SEO, social media, and audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with multimedia teams to enhance articles with videos, images, and graphics.
  • Monitor analytics to understand audience trends and improve content performance.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience in digital journalism, preferably within a news or media organization.
  • Strong writing, editing, and headline-writing skills.
  • The ability to work quickly under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A keen news sense and understanding of the UK media landscape.
  • Experience using CMS platforms, SEO best practices, and social media trends
  • A passion for news, politics, and current affairs, with a sharp editorial judgment.
