Digital Enablement Lead

Location: Flexible (Remote with travel as and when required)

Reports to: Head of Technology

TMS (Total Marketing Support) are a subsidiary company of DS Smith. TMS provide Point of Sale Marketing solutions for leading brands as well as specialised packaging solutions.

TMS are on an exciting digital transformation journey. We are looking for a Digital Enablement Lead to drive the strategic use of technology and data across the business, enabling efficiency, innovation, and improved customer engagement. This role leads a cross-functional team and plays a key part in shaping the future digital landscape of TMS.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the digital enablement strategy, ensuring alignment with TMS business objectives and the wider DS Smith technology roadmap
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team consisting of a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, and Continual Improvement Manager
  • Champion the adoption and integration of new technologies, ensuring they add value and align with existing systems and processes
  • Drive data-led decision making, working closely with the Data Manager to enhance data governance, architecture, and literacy across the business
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimise processes and improve business efficiency
  • Enhance customer experience through the effective use of digital tools and solutions
  • Engage stakeholders across TMS and DS Smith Group to ensure successful delivery of digital initiatives
  • Lead change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and user adoption of new technologies or processes
  • Define and monitor KPIs to measure the impact and performance of digital initiatives
  • Represent the Technology function in cross-functional strategic planning, supporting the Head of Technology in shaping TMS’s digital future

Additional Information

  • Full line management for a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, and Continual Improvement Manager
  • Occasional travel to other TMS sites and DS Smith Group offices may be required

Person Specification

  • Strong strategic vision with the ability to translate business needs into effective digital solutions
  • Proven leadership capability with experience managing cross-functional digital or technology teams
  • Highly analytical with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into action
  • Innovative mindset with a passion for exploring and applying emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Customer-focused approach, with an understanding of how digital solutions enhance user and customer experience
  • Skilled in leading change and embedding new ways of working
  • Solid understanding of data governance, architecture, and analytics
  • Experience delivering digital transformation initiatives within complex or multinational environments
  • Knowledge of business systems such as ERP, CRM, and data platforms
  • Degree in a relevant field (Information Systems, Business, Data Science) and/or project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile) is desirable
