The role
The Director, Digital, leads and scales Newmark’s global web ecosystem and global social media strategy while being based virtually anywhere. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Digital, this role owns regional web and social media execution in close alignment with Global Digital, ensuring consistency, governance and innovation across markets.
This position partners closely with EMEA and APAC marketing, communications and business stakeholders to deliver measurable growth through digital channels, while supporting Newmark’s broader global digital roadmap.
ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for global digital web initiatives, social media expansion and continuous improvement across regional websites.
- Partner closely with the Senior Director of Digital and Global Digital teams to align global web and social media priorities with global platforms, standards and roadmaps.
- Own responsibility for global websites and social media accounts, including site architecture, content governance, SEO and AI/AEO optimization, accessibility and performance.
Develop, execute and govern the regional social media strategy across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram and X.
- Direct and oversee day‑to‑day operations and performance of global support staff
- Work with global web development and platform teams to manage enhancements, migrations and new site launches across the region.
- Lead regional search visibility and SEO strategy, including oversight of external SEO partners and alignment with global search frameworks.
- Drive lead generation and audience acquisition through web experiences, landing pages, social media platforms and integrated digital campaigns.
- Oversee web analytics and performance measurement (e.g., GA4, SEMrush, Brandwatch or similar), defining KPIs and delivering clear, actionable reporting to regional and global leadership.
- Collaborate with regional Marketing, Communications, BD, and Research teams to ensure web content and social media campaigns support business objectives and priority service lines.
- Provide guidance on digital best practices for property marketing, supporting agents and marketing teams in maximizing web and social channels for sales and leasing.
- Management of shared tools & vendor relationships
- Partner with in-house creative and content teams to deliver engaging, on-brand digital experiences across websites and social feeds.
- Support integration with email channels as they relate to web performance, social media governance and conversion.
- Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, balancing regional needs with global consistency and scalability.
About you
- 7+ years of experience in digital, web, social media or marketing technology leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-region or international websites and enterprise social media accounts.
- Strong knowledge of web platforms, social media algorithms, SEO, AI/AEO, analytics and digital performance tracking.
- Experience working within matrixed, global organizations.
- Highly digitally fluent, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities across time zones.
- Experience in real estate, professional services or B2B environments preferred but not required.
Demonstrated AI proficiency and interest in emerging digital, search and social technologies.
Working hours
This role follows a flexible or hybrid working model based on location and business needs. Given the international scope, regular collaboration across global time zones is required, including occasional early or late meetings.

Salary Range Language:
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $20,000 to $28,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
