Salary: £44,000 - £46,000 per annum, plus company benefits

Contract: Full time permanent
Shifts: 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9am until 5:30pm with 1 hours unpaid lunch break

Williams Lea seeks a Digital Designer to join our creative team!

Purpose of role
Our Digital Designer will fully immerse themselves in the world of Design. We are looking for someone who can work with conceptual designs for multiple digital platforms. The Digital Designer would hand-in-hand with the Creative Teams and Designers to create and own all elements of the creative process. You will be expected to immerse yourself in the house brand and become a brand guardian. You will use a variety of design applications to produce high-quality deliverables for the client.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and coordinate Digital design projects from Agency concepts, working with other team members to ensure this happens in the most effective manner
- Ensure designs are fit for purpose and feeding back to wider team ahead of deadlines
- Ensure consistent brand outputs across all touchpoints
- Own templates considering best practice for digital and print
- To undertake appropriate design/formatting work, ensuring items are produced correctly, proofed and returned by agreed deadlines
- Review briefs from clients whilst advising them on the best possible style and layout for work within the corporate guidelines, setting standards and interpreting briefs
- Manage, design and art-working from initial creative concepts through to final delivery
- Understand, follow and develop brand guidelines
- Educate and influence clients to choose effective and functional designs and deliverables within budget
- Follow document submission process in accordance with standards and protocols
- Negotiate deadlines and define cost estimates for marketing/communication campaigns
- Strong time management skills, the ability to juggle more than one project at a time
- Keep abreast of design developments, bringing new ideas to the team
- Ensure all quality review checklists and pre-flight checking procedures are adhered to
- Able to establish and sustain a professional and productive rapport with clients
- Provide cover for other members of the team as required
- To create presentations in accordance with the templates and corporate guidelines outlined by the client
Personal attributes
-
5+ years of experience in a creative agency or in-house creative team
• Strong portfolio with examples of engaging and inspiring design
• A solid understanding of branding and the ability to convey brand messaging through design both on and offline
• Advanced knowledge in animation/motion design and Adobe After Effects
• Wide experience in social media campaigns
• Good understanding of HTML and CSS
• Experience in creating interactive PDFs
• Understanding of different CMS platforms and digital delivery
• Able to work independently, prioritize accordingly, and iterate quickly
• You will have a creative flair, an exceptional eye for quality and detail and an aptitude for creative thinking
• Creative talent, able to take direction, with the ability to produce conceptual work within set boundaries
• You will be knowledgeable in Design and an understanding of competitors, emerging trends and technologies to share with the team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong design skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and ideally Adobe Premier Pro with a willingness to learn new applications
• Great eye for detail and systematic approach
• Innovative with the ability to implement problem solving initiatives
• Confident communicator who can liaise directly with the clients and promote the benefits of great design
• Understand and anticipate clients’ needs and expectations
