This role blends strategic design leadership with hands-on execution-leveraging user experience (UX) research, modern design methods, and cross-functional collaboration to create intuitive, elegant, and scalable digital solutions.

- Strategic Thinking: Help drive strategy by conducting product and competitive research while providing quick and clear value add to the business.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, such as product managers, marketing, and engineering, to ensure effective coordination and integration of design efforts.
- User-Centric Design: Champion user-centered design principles and methodologies, conducting user research, testing, and feedback analysis to inform design decisions and improve the overall customer experience.
- Quality Assurance: Implement design review processes to maintain high-quality standards, conducting regular audits and assessments of design outputs to ensure alignment with established guidelines and objectives.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders, including executives and clients, to understand their needs and perspectives, and effectively communicate design strategies and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in design, incorporating them into our products and services.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure workflow efficiency and alignment with Agile cycles, support creation of modern, client-focused digital solutions, and establish and track KPIs tied to design quality and usability.

- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience:
Minimum required:
- 7-10 years of digital product design experience
- Experience in financial services preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Interactive Media, Human-Centered Design, or related field
Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, InVision)
- Strong understanding of user-centered design and usability
- Experience conducting or collaborating in user research
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy
Other Requirements:
- Typical schedule is [Monday-Friday, 8AM to 5PM CT; ability to work evening or weekend hours may be required during peak periods]
