Job Title: Digital Commerce Data & Insights Product Owner

Fixed Term Contract - 6 months

Within CDT, our objective is to provide extraordinary consumer experiences that drive brand and business growth, while doing so in the most efficient and sustainable way. We have established five engines, supported by a transversal MarTech Transformation Office, to scale these outcomes in a repeatable manner—ensuring consistent technology, capabilities, and operating models across marketing disciplines.

We aim to create global tools that support markets and brands in delivering their unique A&P mix in a productive and effective way. One of these five engines is Analytics & Effectiveness, which focuses on delivering actionable insights that drive business decision-making, improve marketing effectiveness, and increase efficiency by scaling insight-led products.

This role sits within the Analytics & Effectiveness engine and will oversee Digital Commerce, supporting the Global Digital Commerce team with data and analytics across their workstreams, as well as partnering with in-market teams. The role will focus on bringing together disparate data sources to enable cross-functional teams to accelerate insight integration and deliver business growth.

The scope of the role is holistic, spanning the ongoing strategic evolution of the capability, driving change management, and working closely with teams to translate insights into tangible business impact.

Dimensions

  • Ownership and autonomy driving digital commerce analytics.

  • Thought-leadership in the analytics and insights space, leading innovative thinking to unlock new opportunities.

  • Support and lead one analyst.

  • Liaising with and influence of senior digital commerce stakeholders across the business.

  • Working cross-functionally with leaders in other departments (e.g., Procurement, Brand Marketing, Legal).

 

Purpose of Role

  • Collaborate with the Global Digital Commerce Team to identify their data and analytics needs, prioritising those that will drive the greatest value for the business and ensure these workstreams are being led by the data.

  • Work closely with in-market teams across some of our biggest digital commerce customers to unlock efficiencies and strengthening their understanding of commercial and media performance.

  • Lead the vision, roadmap, & delivery of digital commerce analytics, fostering innovation & sustaining long-term value through strategic leadership & operationalperfectione.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Working with the Global Head of Analytics and Insights, to ensure commercial analytics delivery aligns to the CDT strategy, the business goals & user needs across all levels of the organization​.

  • Shape data-driven decision making. Own the development of analytics products that deliver actionable insights.

  • Work with regional hubs, local markets, commercial, GBTs, local brand teams to bring together challenges and opportunities. Identify existing data assets, or create new ones, to fulfill or support those needs.

  • Work with agency partners to bring analytics tools to life through trainings, ongoing communication and feedback sessions.

  • Stay abreast of the evolving AI opportunities, CPG industry trends, and analytics best practices to continuously evolve the insights ecosystem.

  • Enhance data product adoption. Champion end-user engagement and training, ensuring analytics tools are intuitive, scalable, and widely adopted by cross functional teams. Identify and deliver innovative ways of delivering insights to teams to scale evidence-based decision making.

  • Deliver functional management of digital commerce analytics to deliver on evolving business needs, including:

  • Manage & prioritize the data requirement backlog, balancing stakeholder inputs, business value, & technical feasibility in partnership with the technical leads to deliver impactful outputs​.

  • Ensure data governance and quality. Partner with the technical leads to uphold standards in data quality, consistency, and ethical usage across all analytics products and sources.

  • Enable decisions around trade-offs & priorities, ensuring timely delivery of milestones while maintaining a focus on business outcomes.

  • Enable agile delivery. Work closely with data engineers, scientists, analysts, and visualization guides to iteratively develop, test, and launch new insights products using agile methodologies.

  • Foster a culture of innovation & adaptability within the product team, empowering members to deliver high-quality solutions & respond to evolving​business requirements​.

  • Measure impact: Define success metrics and KPIs for data products, ensuring solutions drive incremental business value and improved decision-making.

  • Engage with senior leadership & key stakeholders to provide regular updates, align on strategic goals, & advocate for product needs & priorities to deliver on our goals.

Experience / skills required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree.

  • 10+ years experience within data, analytics and insights.

  • Advanced Excel & Power BI

  • Working knowledge of SQL

  • Strong critical thinking & program management experience.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with interested parties at all levels across the organization.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address bottlenecks, process inefficiencies and improvement areas.

  • Results-oriented attitude, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the allocated budget.

  • Ability to motivate change management, particularly in deploying digital tools & processes in diverse market environments.

  • Ability to navigate cultural nuances & align global strategies with local market needs.
