Job Description
Location: Hybrid, London office presence required
Data has been at the heart of Gousto from the start!
We are investing further in our marketing, having reliable data and deep insight is critical to our success. Our on-site tagging is essential for capturing data to feed into our marketing platforms for ongoing optimisation and channel performance management. We have identified a need to have dedicated ownership of our tagging management to improve data quality, as well as further support on optimising marketing channel performance. This is where you come in.
Analysts are embedded in cross-functional tribes to ensure data-driven decision making continues to pave the way for success at Gousto. This helps you to work closely with your stakeholders to provide actionable insight on performance and future opportunities.
This is a new role at Gousto reporting to the Senior Analytics Manager for our Activate tribe. You will be an individual contributor role, with an internal title of Data Analyst.
To be successful in this role, you will be motivated by having a passion for solving complex problems, working closely with stakeholders and championing data-driven decision making. You will build a strong understanding of our tagging and marketing platforms and develop tracking solutions end-to-end.
You will be the expert in marketing tracking and the voice advocating for this area within the wider Gousto Data community, as well as contributing to knowledge sharing and improving ways of working across the Data team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Approximately equal split of time between tagging management and analysis, with an initial greater focus on tracking in the first 3-6 months
- Take ownership of our marketing tagging, developing solutions and processes to ensure data quality and coverage
- Implementation of Marketing tags, pixels through Google Tag Manager, developing the end-to-end solution
- Improve our current setup as well as providing ongoing maintenance
- Set up appropriate processes to minimise data quality issues
- Contribute to the optimisation of our overall data curation architecture (GTM, Snowplow)
- Engage stakeholders across Marketing and Data to ensure tagging meets business requirements
- Keep up to date with industry best practices and bring these into Gousto
- Provide insights to the Acquisition team on opportunities to optimise marketing channel performance (e.g LTV, attribution, incrementality) and on-site signup conversion
- Ad hoc investigation of anomalies and trends
- Creating dashboards to help scale our understanding of acquisition
- Support the Acquisition team to self serve and be data driven
Who You Are:
- Proficient in Javascript
- Proven Tagging Implementation Experience
- Previous experience working with paid performance and acquisition teams to analyse performance, with a focus on LTV, attribution, incrementality and on-site conversion
- Solid understanding of the full spectrum of Digital Analytics, from tagging and tracking to creating reports and uncovering insights
- Expertise in tag management systems, preferably Google Tag Manager
- Proficiency in analysing and visualising data using web analytics tools. GA4 experience is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate and insightful analysis, contributing to commercial and marketing objectives
- Prior experience of consent management, knowledge of GDPR legislation and strategies to handle data measurement loss in a cookieless context
- Self starter with excellent project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, works well with diverse stakeholders and communicates effectively, even with non-technical colleagues
