Digital Accessibility Manager

As Digital Accessibility Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring that our digital products can be used by our consumers and employees regardless of their abilities. You’ll focus on designing and building a digital accessibility program, helping to ensure compliance with WCAG across our portfolio of digital products, and training the organization on topics related to accessibility.
About the role:
The Digital Accessibility Manager will:

Conduct accessibility audits and create remediation roadmaps in collaboration with product managers.

Train engineering, design, and site operations teams on best practices.

Establish governance for accessibility testing and tracking of progress.

Partner with legal and customer support to identify and address complaints and issues and to support litigation.

Collaborate with corporate affairs and site operations on any public-facing or employee-facing communication.

Establish and chair a Digital Accessibility Community of Practice to lead standardization throughout the company.

Partner with Global Strategic Sourcing to ensure that accessibility requirements are addressed in master service agreements and scopes of work.

Manage suppliers providing accessibility services.

About you:
As a candidate for the Digital Accessibility Manager position you should have the following capabilities and experience:
Technical Skills

Demonstrated mastery of WCAG 2.1+, ADA, Section 508, the European Accessibility Act and global accessibility regulations

Advanced proficiency in ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) and semantic HTML

Experience with accessibility tools and assistive technology such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Axe, and WAVE

Grasp of accessible design principles for web and native mobile applications

Proficiency with accessibility testing practices and the ability to conduct and guide accessibility audits

Strategic Vision: Develop long-term accessibility strategies that contribute to LS&Co. goals

Communication and Advocacy: communicate accessibility concepts to technical and non-technical partners

Train and Mentor: Experience designing and delivering accessibility training programs

Problem-solving and Innovation: Capacity to identify accessibility challenges and propose solutions that challenge the status quo

Project/ Product Management: Experience managing accessibility programs, setting clear roadmaps and priorities, and ensuring delivery
Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience working in digital accessibility

Proven track record of implementing accessibility programs at large organizations
-
Experience in e-commerce, retail, or consumer-facing industries preferred
This is a remote position eligible for hire in the United States, United Kingdom or Europe. For candidates local to the San Francisco Bay Area, you will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday at our San Francisco, CA headquarters. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $97,800-$147,300 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
