About Us

At Eventogy, our mission is to be the trusted technology partner for corporate event professionals everywhere—innovating the future of events with integrity and courage. We are a character-driven team, united by our ambition to deliver excellence.

As an ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials–certified SaaS provider, we deliver secure, scalable event management platforms to some of the world’s leading banks, law firms, and enterprise clients. Our products are built on a modern AWS-hosted architecture, spanning PHP (CodeIgniter / Laravel) and JavaScript applications.

We’re now looking for a DevOps Engineer (Contract) to help strengthen our cloud infrastructure, improve automation and reliability, and evolve our deployment and monitoring practices.

The Role

You’ll be the driving force behind the efficiency, security, and scalability of Eventogy’s cloud platforms. Working closely with our developers and operations team, you’ll own our AWS environments and CI/CD processes, ensuring smooth releases, robust observability, and cost-effective performance.

This is a hands-on role that balances delivery with continuous improvement—perfect for someone who enjoys building mature DevOps foundations in a fast-moving SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, manage, and optimise AWS infrastructure supporting multiple production platforms.
  • Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid, reliable, and secure deployments.
  • Strengthen security, identity, and compliance controls in alignment with ISO 27001 standards.
  • Implement effective monitoring, alerting, and observability to ensure high availability and early issue detection.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery and business-continuity planning, including backup and multi-region resilience strategies.
  • Drive cost optimisation and performance efficiency across AWS services.
  • Collaborate with developers to streamline build, test, and release workflows.
  • Document infrastructure, standards, and procedures to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Requirements
  • 3+ years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
  • Proven expertise with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, networking, monitoring, etc.).
  • Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with Docker and container-based deployments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a structured approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong communicator who enjoys close collaboration with developers.

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting PHP (CodeIgniter/Laravel) or JavaScript-based SaaS applications.
  • Grasp of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Exposure to ISO 27001 or regulated environments.
  • Awareness of cost-efficiency and scaling strategies in AWS.

Benefits

At Eventogy, you’ll be part of a passionate and technically skilled team working at the forefront of event technology. We offer:

  • Competitive contract day rate
  • A collaborative and dynamic work environment
  • Opportunities to influence infrastructure direction and DevOps maturity
  • The chance to support enterprise-grade SaaS products used by global clients
