The Development Cost Manager - Europe is responsible for managing project budgets, ensuring financial accuracy, and optimizing cost efficiency. This position involves leading and collaborating with various stakeholders, including cost consultants, project management teams (internal and external), and vendors. The ideal candidate possesses strong collaboration skills, analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned

  • Oversee budget reconciliation, vendor budget reallocation, and project budget corrections.

  • Facilitate cost touchpoints and communication with cost consultants and CM cost managers.

  • Oversee contract administration, tracking, and reporting.

  • Manage subcontractor spend, financial validations, and forecast projected expenditures.

  • Drive process efficiency and software proficiency within the team.

  • Oversee change management, allowance, and buyout tracking.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, financing, or accounting; or relevant professional experience.

  • Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Workday, e-Builder).

  • Seven or more years of experience in construction or project management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ten or more years of experience in construction or project management preferred.

  • Prior experience in a leadership or management role a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong collaboration skills, analytical, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
