About Us:

We are an innovative and fast-paced product start-up focused on transforming the way the government drafts Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) with Generative AI at its core. Our team consists of data scientists, web developers, DevOps and product designers. As we prepare to take our product to market, we’re looking for a passionate and driven python developer to join our team.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Python server developer with 2-5 years of experience who will take ownership of our deployment cycles, manage the codebase, and contribute to the overall product development. This role is critical to our success as we scale and improve our solution, and you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our product.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Codebase Management: Own and manage the codebase, ensuring it is robust, maintainable, and scalable.
  • Deployment: Oversee deployment cycles, ensuring smooth, secure, and efficient delivery of our product to the market.
  • Development: Collaborate with the team to build high-quality, reliable code using Python and FastAPI.
  • Best Practices: Advocate for and implement best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Product Contribution: Work closely with the team to contribute to product features, UX improvements, and overall product strategy.
  • Innovation: Leverage your experience to suggest and implement improvements that drive product innovation.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with FastAPI
  • Worked in a senior role for at least 1-2 years
  • Be able to effectively design APIs and database / object schemas
  • Owned deployment cycles in the past
  • Willingness to work in a fast paced startup environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and wear multiple hats to help improve the product
  • Understanding of cloud services and environments
  • Ability to communicate effectively - to technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred requirements:

  • Knowledge of large language models and their application in real-world solutions.
  • Understanding of data science fundamentals, machine learning, and their application in product development.
  • Experience with preferably AWS or any other cloud service
