More about the role:
In Studio, we create ideas and bring them to life. We’re a multi-disciplined team, creating content for integrated marketing campaigns, brand experiences and brand identity. We currently have a team of around 40; a mix of Creatives, Brand and Digital Designers, Editors and Track Producers and Creative Project Managers, supplemented by freelancers when specialist skills are needed or workload dictates.

What you'll do:
One of our Studio service offerings is Fast Track; a direct to designer resource, where Burson Sector / Practice colleagues can book in suitable resource for their design needs using an online platform.

As a Designer in our Fast Track team you have a keen interest in brands and design communication across multiple touch points. You are proactive in pushing projects and ideas forward and enjoy working closely with colleagues as part of a collaborative team. You have a broad outlook in your design approach and a willingness to develop work across multiple channels and hone your craft. From print, to social, to experiential, your work will be across many deliverables.

You will have curiosity and be agreeable to taking feedback, whilst confident in putting your thoughts across clearly and reasonably. We want to see your passion for design and creativity, see you explore the creative world around you, looking out for what’s hot and what’s not. And you ask questions, asking questions is important.

At all times your communication must be clear and polite, ensuring that you are constantly keeping the project owner abreast of progress or issues.

The devil is in the detail and you’ll be expected to be thorough, articulate and well organised in your work. Attention matters and we want you to obsess over it.

You have exceptional organisational skills and demonstrate the ability to manage your projects with impeccable timing to hit all deadlines.

Experience that contributes to success:
Client:

  • Ability to take a brief and interrogate it - confidence in challenging or questioning it
    when necessary.
  • You have versatile creative abilities and interests which you use to excite and wow our wide variety of clients across a breadth of deliverables.
  • You have strong graphic design and typography skills, advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, are able artwork and supply final assets, and ideally with some motion experience.
  • Able to produce work that adheres to client guidelines, as well as the ability to come up with and develop your own ideas.
  • Ability to take supportive and constructive feedback.
  • Able to prioritise your own workload based on deadlines, and to work at speed.
  • Ability to organise thinking and communicate ideas clearly to colleagues.
  • You take responsibility for your work, quality checking and ensuring all comments have been addressed.
  • Passionate, curious, and obsessive about the detail.

Commercial:

  • Ability to organise your day and manage your time effectively, ensuring that projects are completed.
  • Understanding of how production constraints affect your work – we need to create best in class work that is achievable and deliverable
  • Fastidious attention to detail.
  • Meticulous at recording your time and ensuring all admin is always up to date.

People & Culture:

  • Take direction from your line manager and project owner constructively and remain ready to learn.
  • Support junior colleagues and interns.
  • Actively support the creative processes and to take pride in the work.

Burson employs over 450 people in the UK, and our stunning Southwark offices run over two floors as part of the larger WPP Campus, Rose Court. We have access to a beautiful roof terrace with panoramic views across London and a bar/restaurant area, which is a great spot for client meetings and socialising with the wider agency and other WPP OpCo’s.
