ROLE SUMMARY

Your craft is the story of legends, and the rest of the studio are all working their socks off to create experiences as good as yours. Your work is water-tight, perfectly designed to make sure every single element shine. You’re used to looking beyond the task at hand and taking a holistic view of your projects, plugging into all the different stakeholders along the way. In fact, you’ve started to take on a lot more responsibility that goes beyond making things beautiful. Depending on the day, you might be managing a team of designers, holding invaluable conversations with clients or helping the producer figure out the numbers.  

You’re endlessly upbeat, constantly inspiring and encouraging the team around you. After all, you’ve started to notice that when you’re positive, the team are too. You’ll be starting to have an active part in helping your colleagues grow, exploring their abilities and spotting their strengths and weaknesses. On top of that, you’ll be helping to shape the brief and make sure your team really, you know… get it. That might mean researching or endlessly scribbling on pen and paper, sketching or chatting away. Whatever it takes to really get to grips with the problem at hand. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will help us shape design within WongDoody. Your role will be to think, make, and lead. Responsible for looking after a team as well as playing a more prominent, client-facing role.  You will take ownership for your own work and that of the team. 

  • An incredible eye, with the ability to push work from good to ‘oh my days’ great

  • A confident, creative spark combined with killer design instinct 
  • Inspires the team to push the boundaries of creative thinking and craft 
  • The ability to bring folks along with your way of thinking, both clients and colleagues. 
  • The ability to think both systematically and with a storytelling mindset, comfortably navigating both imagination and logic. 
  • An understanding of motion and other surrounding visual disciplines. 
  • Is an effective mentor with the ability to drive the quality of craft by developing team's capabilities. 
  • Inspires the team to push the boundaries of creative thinking and craft 
  • A holistic and relentlessly imaginative approach to every brief 
  • Utilizes new tools and trends to improve quality and efficiency  
  • Experience understanding research and data and using them to inform your thinking. 
  • Extends skills outside of their core discipline to become a more T shaped creative 
  • Responsible for looking after a team as well as playing a more prominent, client-facing role. 
  • An inspiring and persuasive presenting style 
  • Comfortable and experienced to lead workshops and structured brainstorms 
  • Can curate and rationalise solutions, ensuring clear alignment with business context, client vision, and project KPIs. 
  • Actively identifies and defines new opportunities to bring value to client engagements 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 5+ years of experience working at leading digital agencies 
  • Portfolio of complex, digital experiences for global brands across mobile, tablet, and web channels, such as large CMS sites, e-commerce, apps, etc. Highlight your contribution to each project, and what makes the solution you devised innovative and smart. 
  • Experience mentoring members of teams and have worked in a multidisciplinary team. 
  • Have face-to-face client interaction experience
