Job Summary

As a proud, creatively led agency, it is the responsibility of the Droga5 Design Department to find and maintain the voice and face of the brands we represent. Whether our technical skills are based in art direction, copywriting, design, experience design or technology, our currency is ideas.

The success of every Droga5 Designer will always be tied to their ability to originate, craft and protect ground-breaking, industry-shaping, culture-shifting ideas.

Designers help businesses build brand worlds ready for today’s realities by shaping brand worlds through identity, experience, and interactions with new technologies. They have the ability to develop short-term campaigns, long-term ecosystems, as well as evolving visions for brands.

Senior Designers have taken a large step beyond mid-level and are focused on creative excellence in all phases of the design process. They are leading and owning work with minimal oversight and are able to present work to the client seamlessly and confidently. They are thinking beyond just the short-term, and working towards a long-term brand vision. They have excellent conceptual, creative and communication skills.

We need someone who is independent and capable of delivering a project from beginning to end, but we also love collaboration and it's of equal importance to be a team player.

Essential Functions (6-8)

  • Ability to work independently, formulate concepts and take feedback without heavy oversight or design direction.
  • Able to think holistically about the creative solution, not just the visual outcome.
  • Capable of working with other departments – in particular strategic and creative teams – having a voice and making sure their opinion is expressed and understood.
  • Understands the difference between creating a campaign versus a long-term ecosystem or brand vision, and executes accordingly.
  • Demonstrates autonomy throughout the creative process, from concept to delivery.
  • Ability to develop multi-faceted design deliverables, from brand audits, to visual identities; multi-channel campaigns to CRM; etc.
  • Manages multiple clients at once, and able to manage their own time efficiently.
  • Proficiently works with members of all different departments, with a maturity that does not require anyone more senior to have to step in to intervene.

Job Qualifications (6-8)

  • 5+ years design experience within a creative design consulting firm / ad agency (or similar)
  • Thorough understanding of design process, beyond just campaign work
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent art direction/design taste and sensibility
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative suite
  • Knowledge (not necessarily skilled in) 3D techniques and trends
  • Knowledge of (not necessarily skilled in) motion techniques and trends
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills, including exacting attention to detail and follow-through
