Own Tumelo’s B2B demand-generation engine by researching institutional investors, building target-account lists, running personalized outbound campaigns, generating qualified meetings, and managing pipeline data in HubSpot. Write outreach, campaign emails, LinkedIn content, articles, reports, and white papers. Support inbound marketing, events, speaking opportunities, prospect meetings, RFPs, and sales materials, with a focus on US and UK markets. The role offers progression into broader marketing, enterprise sales, or partnerships.

Who are we?

Tumelo is a global specialist in stewardship technology. We believe every investor should have the tools and agency to research, decide and cast their votes at the companies they own, guided by their own priorities. Our mission is to build and scale the technology that makes that possible.

We do this through two products. ProxySphere is our voting infrastructure, enabling investors in pooled funds to vote their shares. ProxyBeacon is our AI platform for proxy voting research, helping investment stewardship teams research decisions, set their own voting rules and apply them across thousands of companies. Our clients include some of the world's largest fund managers and asset owners.

We're a close-knit, ambitious and dynamic team. We champion autonomy and flexibility, get stuck in, act strategically and support each other ferociously.

The role

We are looking for a Growth Marketing Lead to own how Tumelo creates new conversations and qualified pipeline. This is a broad, hands-on B2B growth role sitting across marketing and sales, with the immediate priority on outbound lead generation and creating marketing-qualified opportunities rather than brand marketing for its own sake.

You will research target organisations, identify the right people to reach, create campaigns and content that earn attention, and use HubSpot to turn activity into a measurable growth engine. You will work closely with sales and subject-matter experts, who bring deep product and market knowledge, while you bring creativity, commercial instinct and the discipline to test, learn and improve.

This is not a role where you inherit a finished playbook. You will help build it - deciding which audiences, messages, channels, content and experiments create the strongest sales conversations.

What you will own

Growth campaigns & pipeline

  • Research priority asset managers, asset owners and institutional investors, with a particular focus on growth opportunities in the US.
  • Identify decision-makers and influencers within target organisations and build accurate, useful account and contact data.
  • Create and run thoughtful outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
  • Generate marketing-qualified leads and qualified meetings, with success measured by pipeline quality rather than activity volume.
  • Spot relevant market developments and turn them into timely campaign ideas and reasons to engage.
  • Own prospect, campaign and pipeline data in HubSpot, reporting clearly on what is and is not working.

Content that creates conversations

  • Write concise, human outreach and campaign emails that make complex ideas easy to understand.
  • Create LinkedIn posts, short articles, newsletters and campaign assets that turn Tumelo's expertise into reasons for prospects to engage.
  • Work with stewardship and product experts on longer-form content such as reports and white papers, then build distribution around it.
  • Adapt messaging for different audiences, including UK and US financial-services professionals.
  • Use AI and modern marketing tools intelligently to research, create, test and iterate faster without sacrificing quality.

Inbound, events & sales enablement

  • Improve how website and content engagement converts into conversations, working with external partners where needed.
  • Identify engaged prospects and get meaningful buying signals in front of sales quickly.
  • Help select relevant conferences and industry events, research attendees and coordinate pre- and post-event campaigns.
  • Secure speaking, panel and participation opportunities for Tumelo experts where they can create commercial value.
  • Help prepare prospect research, presentations and meeting materials and, over time, take on broader sales-enablement work such as RFPs and DDQs.
  • Join selected client meetings and events, with occasional UK and international travel.

What success looks like

You will be measured on the commercial outcomes of your work: growth in relevant contacts and engagement across priority accounts, marketing-qualified leads, qualified meetings and pipeline created, and how effectively campaigns, content and events turn into sales conversations. We care more about quality and learning than vanity metrics.

What we are looking for

These are guidelines rather than a checklist. You do not need to arrive as an expert in investment stewardship, but this is not a first growth role. We are looking for someone ready to take meaningful ownership.

  • Roughly 3-6 years of experience in B2B growth marketing, demand generation, growth, sales development or another pipeline-focused role.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS is highly relevant; financial-services or fintech experience is useful but not essential.
  • You have created campaigns that generated conversations or pipeline with senior people in larger organisations and can explain what worked.
  • You are a strong writer who can simplify a technical product and communicate credibly with financial-services professionals.
  • You are curious and creative: you enjoy researching companies, understanding audiences and finding new angles that make people pay attention.
  • You are comfortable with HubSpot or a similar CRM and use data to decide what to try next.
  • You are comfortable using AI and modern marketing tools as part of your day-to-day workflow.
  • You are organised, tenacious and happy juggling campaigns, content, events and competing priorities.
  • You take ownership rather than waiting to be given every next step.
  • Knowledge of the US institutional-investment market is a bonus, not a requirement.

Where this role can go

You will work directly with sales leadership, senior colleagues and subject-matter experts while helping shape how Tumelo goes to market. As the growth engine develops, there is scope for the role to expand into a broader marketing remit - including content, events, communications and market positioning - or towards enterprise sales and partnerships, depending on your strengths and interests.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary of up to £55,000, dependent on experience, plus variable compensation (structure being finalised).
  • Private health insurance via Equipsme, including 24/7 private GP access, dental, optical and mental-health support.
  • Generous company share scheme - we are all owners of Tumelo and beneficiaries of our collective success.
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity policies.
  • Work-from-home budget and 5% employer pension contribution.
  • £50 per month wellness budget.
  • 33 days holiday including bank holidays, with additional days for longer service.
  • Flexible hours, with autonomy around when you do your best work.
  • Regular Tumfests bringing the team together in Bristol or off-site, with travel costs covered.
  • Hybrid working, with this role expected in the Bristol office around three days per week.
  • For the time being, you must have the right to work in the UK. Occasional international travel may be required. Regular US hours are not expected, although there may occasionally be value in joining later calls with US prospects.

Recruitment process

  • First-stage online conversation with members of the sales/marketing team.
  • A practical task or project related to the role, such as planning a campaign into a set of target accounts and drafting initial messaging.
  • Final-stage conversation with a member of Tumelo's leadership team.
