About the role

Demand Forecaster Manager is responsible to manage the Demand Forecasting Team and the demand forecasting process, which delivers forecasting for the business both short- and long-term demand; running the statistical forecasting processes, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from all available external and internal sources. Insights will directly impact production planning, inventory management, and overall supply chain efficiency.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of demand forecasters, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment to achieve one-team goal.

  • Oversee the end-to-end demand forecasting process, ensuring data accuracy, reliability and timely generation of baseline forecasts to Ensure the IBP calendar could be strictly followed  .

  • Develop and implement statistical forecasting strategies, leading the team to support market execution, optimizing inventory levels to meet customer demand effectively.

  • Collaborate with CoE, In-Market Demand Planner, Data science hub, and cross functions stakeholders

  • Provide training and mentorship to team members, enhancing their skills in statistical analysis and demand forecasting techniques.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the team and monitor performance, making data-driven decisions to improve forecasting outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting methodologies and tools.

  • Conduct regular reviews of forecasting processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with overall business objectives.

  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports on forecasting performance, trends, and insights to leadership.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in demand forecasting, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting methodologies.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to translate data-driven insights into actionable strategies.

  • Proficiency in forecasting software/tools and ERP systems.

  • Strategic thinking with a focus on achieving business objectives.

  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices.

Preferred

  • Master’s degree

  • Experience in project management

  • Digital Acumen and Innovation

  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes

  • Ability to work independently and build cross-functional partnerships across the organization.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
