As a Decisioning Products Engineer at Global, you will contribute to building and enhancing innovative solutions across APIs, data products, and AI-driven systems. Working under the guidance of the Decisioning Technology Lead, your role will focus on developing scalable platforms, implementing advanced data engineering practices, and integrating AI technologies to create impactful solutions. This position emphasises hands-on technical development, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering exceptional user experiences.

As a Decisioning Products Engineer at Global, you’ll contribute to designing, developing, and enhancing cutting-edge APIs, data platforms, and AI solutions. Reporting to the Decisioning Technology Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling technology, driving platform innovation, and delivering impactful systems. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • API and Data Product Development (40%) 
    Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs using frameworks like FastAPI to support both internal and external stakeholders. Define data requirements, manage pipelines, and ensure accuracy, scalability, and availability across platforms. Contribute to new features and enhancements for API-driven platforms. 

  •  AI and Machine Learning Integration (40%) 
    Collaborate on developing and deploying AI-driven solutions, leveraging generative AI technologies like OpenAI to build personalised, user-focused tools. Continuously improve existing AI-powered features by integrating new data points and functionalities.  

  • Technical Support and Collaboration (20%) 
    Maintain and support data systems to ensure stability and performance. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business goals. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure seamless operations.

What You’ll Need 

 

  Proficiency in Python and SQL: Solid experience in programming and database management. 

API Development Expertise: Skilled in using frameworks like FastAPI to build scalable APIs. 

Cloud and Data Platform Experience: Hands-on knowledge of AWS and data warehouses like Snowflake. 

AI Integration Skills: Familiarity with AI tools, including OpenAI APIs and generative AI technologies. 

Problem-Solving Skills: A focus on delivering scalable, user-focused solutions to complex challenges. 

Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work in cross-functional teams and effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
