Forming part of the Biotechnology segment at Danaher, we bring together dedicated technical expertise and talent to develop the next generation of life-changing therapeutics.

The DBS Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for supporting the improvement of dissemination and training of all operational elements of the Danaher Business System tool to support continuous improvement in HSE, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics.

 

This position is part of the DBS team located in Walton Road and will be onsite. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

 

What you will do:

  • Work with site DBSL (Danaher Business Site Leader) and site Leadership Team to develop process improvement strategies based on business needs

  • Drive Problem solving Process (PSP) to drive site performance.

  • Lead transformational change and work on identifying greatest Lean opportunities across the plant

  • Organisation and participation of Kaizen events

  • Develop and lead teams to embrace a practice that promote best practice sharing across the plant and within the corporation

 

 

Who you are:

  • Able to communicate effectively across all functions and build strong team collaboration.

  • Analytical and able to use sound data to drive continuous improvement.

  • A HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Business professional engineering certification, or demonstrate equivalent by experience

  • Recognised formal training in a ‘Lean’ Manufacturing program

 

 

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in process improvements using lean manufacturing methodology

  • Working knowledge of Operational improvement tools such as TPM, OEE & SMED, etc

  • Green Belt in Six Sigma / minimum to have completed DMAIC project
