We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Operations Support Senior Engineer to lead the monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise data warehouse. This role involves ensuring the stability and performance of ETL, reporting, and cloud (AWS) infrastructure. You will be a key point of contact for month-end close support, crucial for SOX compliance and data integrity. You will join a fast-paced Data and Analytics team, supporting and growing our Enterprise Data Hub and Reporting platform by providing platform-level solutions for growing data and reporting needs across all business functions. Job Description
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
For Application Monitoring, proactively monitor ETL for successful data loads and oversee reporting server performance for timely report delivery.
Collaborate with stakeholders, Ops and DBAs to quickly resolve job failures and service interruptions.
For Application Maintenance, manage planned and unplanned downtime protocols to minimize business impact. Resolve complex data-level issues to ensure warehouse accuracy. Communicate DWH, Job, and report status to stakeholders during month-end.
Break/Fix & Incident Management - Perform deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and post-production reviews to prevent defect recurrence.
Promptly troubleshoot and fix data integrity defects and critical environmental issues in the DWH ecosystem based on priority.
As part of Operational & Compliance Activities, act as the primary support for SOX Level 1 compliance requests and audits.
Execute daily PSR data uploads. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual scheduled loads/maintenance.
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills
Experience working with AWS RedShift
Experience supporting ETL and reporting tools like Informatica, BRIO etc
Understanding of data modelling, database, data warehouse
Familiarity with CI/CD and related tools such as Jenkins
Understanding of SCRUM/Agile methodology
Understanding of REST API concepts
Familiarity with BI Reporting tools (such as Tableau)
Strong communication skills
Hands on experience in data warehousing design, tuning and ETL/ELT process development.
Database support experience and strong understanding of columnar database capabilities
Basic Requirements
Bachelors of Computer Science plus 3+ years of experience, or Master's degree
Excellent SQL and strong hands-on scripting (Shell Script, Python) ability
