LiveRamp is seeking a privacy and data ethics specialist to join the Legal & Data Ethics team based in Europe. The incumbent will ensure data protection compliance, while enabling business innovation in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

The Data Protection Manager will report into the General Counsel- EU. 

The role will interact with:

  • Product teams to review and provide expertise to the compliance of new features created.

  • Sales teams to provide answers to our customers' questions,

  • The DPO to execute a wide range of business and strategic initiatives requiring creative and proactive legal advice.

The Data Protection Manager will have the opportunity to educate and influence our internal teams, vendors and customers and the overall industry. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer and coordinate Data Subject Requests.

  • Build and maintain legal policies and Compliance review processes.

  • Work closely with other privacy and legal professionals within the company and ensure efficient and fluid operations.

  • Embed with product and engineering teams to understand LiveRamp’s products and provide business-oriented privacy counseling to design data protection and privacy into our products (including ad tech related products and technologies such as RTB, trackers, connected devices, addressable TV) drawing on knowledge and experience with specific industry requirements and best practices.

  • Working with the rest of the legal department to support the Company's general corporate legal activities.

  • Monitor and self-study on case law, legislation and other legal guidance relevant to AdTech and MarTech industries.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Experience as a DPO assistant, Privacy Paralegal or Privacy Specialist or Privacy ops, in consulting firms or in house, whether with legal or technical initial background

  • Knowledge of global data protection laws including ePrivacy and EU and UK GDPR and ability to research privacy laws and practices globally.

  • Strong interest in the AdTech and MarTech industry and good knowledge of Internet, software technologies or data is essential

  • Sound judgment, “do-er” work ethic, problem solving and organization skills, practicality, flexibility to manage multiple matters simultaneously. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with people at all levels under pressure in a rapidly changing environment and to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly, diplomatically, and effectively.
