The job at a glance
You are responsible for accurate reporting on financial & costing analysis to assist in driving continuous improvement in the factory/ manufacturing unit in order to maintain and improve operating efficiencies, reduce cost and improve sustainability. Furthermore, you will provide general administrative support to the Plant Manager.
What you will do
Daily production reports (Volumes Report & updating of MPS, ATP CTP, Release Register and Samples register Reports).
Assisting factory with PRS printing and training of cama operators
Verifying and uploading of daily production onto oracle system
Process WIP Issues and WIP returns
Investigate material usage discrepancies
Alert storeman / material buyer of any packaging shortages experienced during production run
Compile, analyze and distribute daily muv report with necessary commentary
Detailed investigations to be done on all material production items
Engage with various stakeholders on the reason for variances and feedback to Production Team & cost accountant on a daily basis
Proactively identify the cause of the variance and provide insights into reducing variances
Provide daily/weekly/monthly reporting to management and collate reasons for Production Variances
Verify physical finished goods vs PRD sub-inventory
Responsible for managing stock on PRD
Process stock transfers for stock moved to warehouse
Manage any finished goods factory reworks / repacking. Collaborate with Quality Operations Analyst in sorting Problem stock
Communicate with Storeman for any extra packaging materials needed during reworks
Highlight any Production material waste to relevant parties (Production manager, Plant manager & cost accountant)
Actively involved in monthly stock counts
Snapshot and capture stock counts for sub-inventories
Submit for adjustment approvals and launching of stock counts
Ensure that the correct supporting documents are filed for stock counting and capturing
Ensure finished goods sub inventory is managed properly and highlight any losses / discrepancies
Provide general administrative support
Additional ad hoc duties
Qualifications: Minimum Matric & relevant Tertiary qualifications in Stock Control/Supply Chain Management
Key Professional Competencies
Core knowledge – Principle of Inventory Management, Computer- Literate . E.g. Oracle system will be an advantage, Excel Skills
Key foundational competencies
Academic – Analytical skill, Problem solving, Decision making
Personal Effectiveness – Effective communication, Interpersonal skills, Integrity, Continuous learning, Attention to Detail
Experience
Function –3-5 years’ experience in similar role
Industry – FMCG experience preferred
