Data Platform Engineer

Job Description Summary: As a Data Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing tooling that supports our data platform. You will work closely with engineering and platform teams to enhance automation, improve efficiency, and ensure seamless data operations across the organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking to continuously improve our platform’s capabilities.

What are we looking for?

•    4-6 years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or cloud-based data solutions.
•    Strong expertise in Python
•    Strong experience in Azure Data services
•    Experience in DevOps
•    Impeccable communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
•    A strong sense of curiosity and a proactive mindset to explore and implement new solutions.
Nice to have: 
•    Experience with Terraform, Apache Spark, & ML Ops
•    Has previously worked in an Agile environment

What will be your key responsibilities?

•    Develop and maintain robust data platform tooling to enhance automation, monitoring, and deployment efficiency.
•    Optimize and troubleshoot systemic data operations, integrations, and monitoring tools, ensuring reliability and scalability.
•    Collaborate with engineering and platform teams to implement best practices for data operations.
•    Actively seek opportunities to automate time-consuming tasks and reduce friction by integrating AI into existing tools.
•    Stay ahead of industry trends, experimenting with new technologies to improve platform capabilities.
