Job Description
The Asset & Wealth Management Data Owner is responsible for executing critical data management activities supporting strategic business and product objectives, process design, advanced analytics, and reporting, with focus on Client Data . This role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure data is well-understood, documented, and effectively utilized across the organization.
As a Data Owner - Client Data Domain Vice President in Marketing department you will support the strategic direction led by the Client Data Domain Owner in order to manage data quality, governance, and risk, while fostering strong relationships with data delivery partners and consumers, inclusive of Client Servicing, Sales, Marketing and Finance & Business Management.
Job responsibilities:

  • Execute Data Risk responsibilities for the product(s) across the entire client data lifecycle
  • Use and share date responsibly and ensure client data is consumed from strategic data products
  • Ensuring the quality and reliability of data. Work with product owners to implement data quality rules
  • Ensure regulatory controls are effectively applied across lifecycle of client data
  • Define, describe, and register data products and offerings. Leverage strategic data dictionary tools.
  • Ensure data is described, available, and accessible to consumers where needed
  • Work closely with Product Owner and other product leadership in order to understand overall product priorities and champion data needs
  • Partner regularly with the Data Domain Owner to stay aligned with evolving strategies for the Data Domain - communicate regular updates and provide feedback on the effectiveness of data strategies and execution effectiveness
  • Influence a culture of data ownership and accountability across client domain functions, inclusive of sales, marketing and client service
  • Review and monitor monthly data risk metrics and drive remediation efforts to address any metric breaches


Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree with relevant industry experience in a data-related role.
  • Subject matter expertise in relevant business or product data or processes.
  • Experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines, priorities, and complexities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage tight delivery timelines and ensure the product and organization are on track to execute and deliver strategic changes that meet goals.
  • Ability to execute via successful internal partnerships with other organizations, with the ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions.
  • Excellent leadership skills in managing products, programs, projects, teams, and/or employees.
  • Structured thinker and effective communicator with excellent written communication skills. Ability to crisply articulate complex technical concepts to senior audiences with poise and confidence.
  • Technical understanding of data management and governance, cloud-based data platforms, or data architecture required.
  • Understanding of product development and Agile methodologies.
