This is an 18-month secondment opportunity!

Context/Scope

To support this ambition, Diageo has launched the GB CIM (Customer Investment Management) Pilot, an End to End (E2E) sales planning transformation project focused on building best in class selling capabilities for our GB market colleagues and releasing non-value add time to focus on delivering accelerated customer growth.

Purpose of Role

As Diageo advances its global Business Planning transformation, the Data & Analytics Lead plays a critical role in defining and delivering the data foundations that underpin integrated business planning, performance management, and decision-making across the enterprise.

The role ensures that all data and analytics components, spanning master data, hierarchies, reporting, and analytical products are defined, harmonised, and delivered in alignment with global Symphony standards.

Operating across functions and in close collaboration with the Symphony team, D&T, and GPO process leads and Market leads, this role ensures that business reporting and analytical needs are met effectively, efficiently, and consistently.

Key Accountabilities

  • Accountable for defining and delivering all GB enterprise data and analytics requirements in alignment with Symphony standards.

  • Owns the definition and governance of operational and analytical master data for GB.

  • Oversees delivery of data products, ensuring quality, completeness, and consistency across systems.

  • Defines and prioritises business reporting needs; manages delivery in partnership with the Reporting PM.

  • Partners with the Data domain owners for Commercial to ensure data granularity and integration standards are defined and applied across the enterprise.

  • Partners with Integration and D&T teams to ensure seamless end-to-end data flow.

  • Defines and enforces data quality, harmonisation, and compliance specifications globally.

  • Ensures data support and rapid solution response during key testing cycles FUT, SIT and UAT or equivalent experience with clear signoff and Go / No Go criteria.

Operational Complexity

  • Operates within a global matrixed environment, engaging with multiple functions and technical workstreams.

  • Balances strategic data governance priorities with tactical delivery demands.

  • Manages multi-functional dependencies across RGM, Finance, Sales, IBP, Supply Chain, and D&T.

  • Requires deep collaboration with the Symphony programme to align data models, master data hierarchies, and quality standards.

  • Must translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years experience in data management, analytics, or business intelligence within FMCG or large-scale global organisations.

  • Proven experience defining and delivering enterprise data products, master data models, and reporting solutions.

  • Solid understanding of data governance, data architecture, and analytics enablement within global business processes.

  • Experience working with data product delivery teams and coordinating across business and IT functions.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into data requirements and reporting solutions.

  • Proficiency with enterprise data platforms, master data management tools, and BI/reporting applications.

  • Excellent collaborator management, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Solid project management and problem-solving capabilities.

  • 100% alignment of GB data products and master data with Symphony specifications

  • On-time, on-budget delivery of all reporting and analytical solutions

  • Reduction in data duplication and improvement in master data quality metrics

  • Seamless data integration across GB applications and reporting layers

  • Positive business feedback on accuracy, timeliness, and usability of reports

  • Full compliance with data governance and harmonisation standards

  • Exit all testing phases on time to agreed success criteria
