About us:

We invite you to come grow with us.

Research Partnership (part of Inizio Advisory) is one of the world's largest pharma market research and consulting agencies with over 250 researchers, consultants, project managers and support staff. Our teams are located across the globe, in Europe (London, Lyon), North America (New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco) and Asia (Singapore, India).

As individuals with diverse backgrounds, as a team with shared values, as professionals ready to reimagine health and life sciences—you can grow with us at a place that:

  • Makes a difference to human health
  • Shares values and celebrates progress
  • Puts people at the centre of everything

About the role:

The Data Manager contractor role will work alongside colleagues in our Custom research team in Europe, India and Singapore on a major Brand Equity tracking project for a regional client covering multiple Therapy Areas across a number of Asia Pacific markets. The position will report into the Analytics Director, based in the UK. The project is in a ramp-up phase, which requires the support of a contractor to develop the dashboards.

The role will involve applying data management skills to primary quantitative market research data from online survey responses, working alongside our software development teams to project manage development of data dashboards. The dashboards are custom-built by the development team according to the project requirements. Key to the role will be an ability to translate technical information to the development team and also liaise with non-technical staff within the project team.

We are looking for an advanced user of MS Excel, with a good understanding of quantitative research-derived data (to sense check any errors/issues along with the project team). We are also looking for someone with experience of working alongside development or engineering staff, using project management tools such as Jira or Azure.

The Data Manager position is available as an outside IR-35 contractor role for an initial 3-6 months, with the option to extend.

About the team:

Our custom research team partners with global pharmaceutical and biotech clients to enable them to solve marketing, brand, advertising and communications problems through a mixture of innovative qualitative and quantitative market research techniques.

Your primary role:

As a Data Manager, you will support the Analytics Director and project Directors to manage the development and delivery of dashboards for our client, based on primary quantitative data. You will liaise with our in-house developers as well as our researchers and data collection and data processing teams. You will also support the development of a data warehousing set up for the project on an ongoing basis.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Project management of the development teams using Jira. Ensuring that delivery timelines are adhered to.
  • Initial reviewing of dashboards and source data to identify any errors or issues with formatting in Excel.
  • Liaising with the Data Collection and Data Processing teams both in house and offshore, to ensure data is provided in the appropriate format for analysis.
  • Responding to day-to-day statistical questions in support of the Analytics Director (e.g. database design, sample design, sample size, selection of appropriate statistical tests and methodologies)
  • Supporting Directors and more senior researchers in their client facing activities

About You…

Your skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Practical experience within a market research agency environment, experience working with primary quantitative data derived from online surveys
  • Experience with different data dashboard tools (whether off-the-shelf, e.g. PowerBI, or custom developed)
  • Strong Excel skills (able to comfortably use pivot tables, h- and v-lookups), experience using SQL
  • Demonstrable capabilities for working with developers and engineers, translating technical information to non-technical project teams and vice-versa
  • Experience setting up and managing data warehousing processes
  • Experience with development project management tools (Jira, Azure)

Nice to have:

  • Experience user-testing dashboard UX
  • Some exposure to advanced analytics (e.g. conjoint, MaxDiff, TURF)
  • Experience using VBA
  • Experience using SPSS, R, Q or Python for data analysis

Ideal profile:

  • You are proactive, dedicated and enthusiastic, with a ‘can do’ attitude and approach
  • You demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as strengths in organisation and prioritisation
  • You are a collaborative team player who works well with colleagues
  • You communicate ideas and issues in an effective, straightforward fashion
