The Boeing Field Services Team at Brize Norton is a vital part of the support that we provide the Royal Air Force Customer.  We have a Team of 100 employees who work directly for and with the C-17 operational team, providing real-time, time critical and dynamic assistance at the point of delivery.

Position Overview

While working as a part of the larger Boeing Field Services Team located on site at RAF Brize Norton, your role will entail working within a team of 3 other data management specialists to process customer logistics data records.  These records come directly from the aircrew and technicians that operate and maintain the RAF’s C-17 Globemaster fleet. The timely processing of these records is critical to the continued airworthiness and serviceability of the RAF C-17 fleet.

The role

You will transcribe this data into secure and controlled systems, such as the US Air Force FMxC2 (G081) maintenance information system, C-17 Standard Flight Data Recorder, and C-17 Engine Optical Quick Access Recorder repositories. This information is vital for supporting not only the RAF, but the global C-17 fleet, and directly informs the path for future modifications and long term usage of the aircraft.

In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring data quality, maintaining process records and files, keeping accountability records and making a final disposition of data through reporting processes.

While highly appreciated, you do not need to have a background in aircraft maintenance, – on the job training will be provided to successful applicants.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • You must have good communication skills, both written and oral, and have experience working with minimal supervision. 
  • The ability to enter, edit, and retrieve information in database systems is essential for this role.
  • You must hold US Citizenship

Preferred Skills/ Experience:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) and VBA, together with attention to detail and general computer literacy.
  • Previous experience with maintenance information systems is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working in an office environment where flexibility is essential and prompt responses to ad-hoc customer requests is expected.

You will be the ‘face of Boeing’ to the customer maintenance teams and planning functions, so it is vital that you are comfortable in customer facing role.

Employment is predicated on the ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance, of which US citizenship is a requirement. Boeing will not sponsor obtaining US citizenship for this role.

This requisition is for an international locally hired position. CANDIDATE MUST HAVE CURRENT LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicant. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of any Boeing USA based payroll. Relocation benefits if indicated are limited to in-country moves and are not be available for overseas relocation.
