The Data Management & Quality Manager is effectively accountable for the health of consumer data and oversight of the implementation of policies and standards for consumer data. 

What You'll Do

  • Lead the Data Management & Quality function.
  • Help ensure we have an up-to-date Data Management Framework covering policies, standards, rules, metrics and training; leverage global policies and detail UK specifics as required. (Working closely with the Head of Consumer Data and Data Governance & Frameworks)
  • Oversee the performance of the management of data across the a to b to c journey, helping to ensure all is working effectively and accurately and, where not, helping remediate / improve. 
  • Establish, lead and drive a Data Management improvement roadmap, working closely with supporting functions across the business to continuously improve data process controls based on approved funding to deliver this.
  • Oversee the presence of and then management and monitoring of effective validation rules, pass verses fail thresholds, remediation processes and SLA’s. 
  • Define and drive our Data Quality improvement programme, being an advocate across the business for its importance.
  • Lead the data fix (incidents & issues) resolution process along with the prioritisation process.
  • Provide the UK organisation with guidance on Data Management & Quality best practice in line with our Data Management Framework.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate Data Management & Quality risks where possible (working closely with the Head of Consumer Data & Data Governance and Frameworks.)
  • Monitor and report on our data health and improvement areas based on capabilities available at the time.
 

Training

  • Work with the training manager and CDO D&A colleagues to ensure there is data training for internal employees, including induction and annual existing employee training, to support all employees to obtain the required level of data knowledge for their role.
 

What Experience You Need

  • Able to convey confidence to external bodies; a strong communicator both verbally and written
  • Able to step in as chair / run meetings related to consumer data improvements.
  • Confident prioritisation and decision maker, who is not risk averse.
  • Able to resolve complex problems whilst dealing with levels of uncertainty - and able to adapt to aid optimum / pragmatic / timely resolution.
  • Collaborative and consultative style
  • Worked within a highly regulated business with an understanding of data risk for businesses / consumers
  • Understands the value data brings to an organisation
  • Worked within an industry using CRA data and understands our business model and client needs
  • Can navigate technical landscapes
  • Proven background in project delivery and successful management of end to end processes
  • Proven talent developer running high performance teams
  •  A strong executor, persistent and resilient
  • Strong background in GDPR and Data Governance best practices
  • Worked within credit industry using CRA data at a detailed level
  • Effective communication skills working at multiple levels in the organisation
