YOUR ROLE AS A BURSON PERSON

As an Associate Director for Data & Intelligence you will be responsible for directing and shaping the way we research, measure and examine data from multiple disparate sources. You will direct a team and support them in developing and reporting compelling insights that provide a competitive advantage for our clients.

You need to be inquisitive, someone who can interpret data and spot trends, with the ability to explain technical issues with clarity in a way people understand and that translate to business challenges.  You should have a strong understanding of social media monitoring and web analytics tools, traditional press monitoring partners and survey vendors and an appetite for the latest knowledge of mobile, web, social media marketing, analytics, and qualitative/quantitative research methodologies.  

You will be responsible for understanding the holistic Data & Intelligence offer and driving this business within the sport sector.

YOU’LL BRING ALONG WITH YOU

Consulting

  • Management of multiple client research and evaluation programmes, making recommendations for the best approaches to solving client issues
  • Support your team in delivering best practice on data analysis and reporting within the sector, and the delivery of data insights to clients on an ongoing basis
  • Provide insights and new ways of visualising analytical findings for quarterly or yearly ‘deep dive’ reports for senior clients Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Manage and work on a variety of projects at the same time, often for a number of different clients and working to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate a solid grasp of statistics and be comfortable with analytical techniques
  • Drive escalation of Data and Intelligence business within the sector and agency, developing case studies and continuously focusing efforts on developing and enhancing the skills and capabilities of the team

Commercial

  • Work closely with the senior Data & Intelligence team on the continued development of clients and service offerings throughout the business
  • Support the client teams and help to identify new opportunities, provide insight and direction in all new business opportunities
  • Manage and support new business growth in your sector
  • Completion of timesheets at the end of each week

People

  • Inspire and mentor junior team members and those to develop greater expertise within the team
  • Act as an Burson ambassador internally and externally

OUR LONDON OFFICE
Burson employs over 450 people in the UK, and our stunning Southwark offices run over two floors as part of the larger WPP Campus, Rose Court. We have access to a beautiful roof terrace with panoramic views across London and a bar/restaurant area, which is a great spot for client meetings and socialising with the wider agency and other WPP OpCo’s.
