YOUR CAPCO DAY

• Design and Optimize Data Pipelines: Architect, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for big data processing using technologies like Apache Spark, Kafka, and Airflow, ensuring efficient ETL workflows across distributed systems. 

• Manage Data Analytic solutions and Lakes: Oversee the design and operation of data analytic solutions such as Azure Data factory, Databricks or Snowflake, as well as data lakes solutions for efficient storage and retrieval of large datasets. 

• Ensure Data Quality, Security, and Compliance: Implement data validation, encryption, and governance practices to maintain high standards of data integrity, security, and compliance with regulations like GDPR and CCPA. 

• Innovate with Emerging Technologies: Continuously explore and integrate new big data tools and frameworks, such as Apache Flink or Kubernetes, to enhance data processing capabilities and system scalability.

• Proven Expertise in Big Data Technologies: Experience with Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka, and other distributed computing frameworks, including data ingestion and real-time processing. 

• Advanced Knowledge of ETL Processes: Extensive experience in designing and managing ETL workflows using custom Python/Scala scripts, with a focus on automation and scalability. 

• Strong Programming and Data Modeling Skills: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala, with a deep understanding of SQL for complex queries, data modeling, and schema evolution. 

• Experience with Data Infrastructure and Security: Hands-on experience in managing data infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and adherence to security best practices. 

• Fluency in German and English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, essential for collaboration with global and local teams.
