As a Data Engineer Senior within PNC's Data and Automation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh-PA, Cleveland-OH, Strongsville-OH, Chicago-IL, Birmingham-AL or Dallas-TX.
Skills
- Deep functional understanding of big data development environments such as Hadoop/HDFS, Google Cloud, Azure, AWS and associated tools
- Deep understanding of data architecture, data warehousing and data engineering subjects including Teradata, Oracle, Hive, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Trino, Impala, Pandas and Jupyter Hub
- Extensive experience developing and optimizing code in various languages including Spark, PySpark, Python, SQL to build data engineering solutions for the financial services industry.
Tasks
- Architect, develop, test, and optimize data engineering solutions to extract, transform, load and analyze data from different data sources to solve complex business problems for financial services.
- Perform in-depth exploratory data analysis to identify gaps within data solutions such data pipelines, data quality reports, data lineage applications and reference data.
- Interface directly with Line of Business users to build detailed data engineering requirements; provide front line support to addresses technical issues and offer solutions.
- Proactively seek out performance improvement opportunities in the data engineering and data management spaces with business customers to generate value for the organization.

Job Description

  • Leads in developing, supporting and implementing data solutions for multiple applications in order to meet business objectives and user requirements. Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions.
  • Leads data requirement analysis and the data preparation process development for targeted data solutions.
  • Leads in designing and building data service infrastructure on multiple data platforms, according the workflow.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of data solutions for multiple applications to ensure its scalability, availability and maintainability.
  • Consults on data migration and transformation to ensure the accuracy and security of data solutions.
