We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build and operation production-grade data pipelines and architectures that enable AI-driven solutions for our customer. This role plays a key part in delivering scalable data frameworks that can be deployed across multiple operating companies (OpCos), supporting enterprise-wide adoption and operational impact.
The position requires consultancy-level technical depth, strong delivery discipline, and the ability to embed quickly within cross-functional teams to deliver value from day one.
Please note this role operates in a hybrid model with candidates expected to be able and willing to work from our customer's London office three times per week.
Required Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL, and modern ETL frameworks
- Proven experience designing and delivering production-ready data solutions beyond proof-of-concept or prototype stages
- Hands-on cloud experience, AWS preferred
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles and API-based integrations
- Demonstrated ability to integrate quickly into new teams and deliver under tight timelines
- Experience operating in enterprise or complex delivery environments
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Design, build and optimise robust data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation and storage
- Develop scalable, secure and maintainable data architecture suitable for multi-OpCo deployment
- Ensure data quality, integrity and security across platforms and environments
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Analysts and Engineering teams to enable advanced analytics and AI use cases
- Implement cloud best practices for performance, scalability and reliability
- Support the integration of AI-drive MRO solutions into operational workflows
- Establish standards, frameworks and reusable components to enable consistent data delivery across the organisation
Desirable Experience:
- Experience within aviation, logistics, supply chain or asset-heavy domains
- Background in consulting, advisory or professional services environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Experience designing enterprise-grade, reusable data platforms
- Track record of delivering high-impact outcomes and driving stakeholder confidence from the outset
