Morgan, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring adherence to Data Management Policies and Standards. Collaborate with stakeholders and Compliance to align deliverables with policy, and utilize risk-based approaches to develop rollout schedules. As a Data Management Lead in the Data Classification Risk Management Governance team, you will oversee execution design and ensure each Line of Business (LOB) and Corporate Function (CF) adheres to data management standards. You will drive project requirements, assist in strategy development, and communicate progress to management. Your role involves collaborating with technology teams, analyzing data, and coordinating firmwide data risk governance activities.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive and assist in defining project requirements and deliverables by identifying, driving, and participating in project milestones and phases.
  • Develop recommendations and strategies for related initiatives, translating analysis into business strategy.
  • Communicate project progress and recommendations to management, developing effective presentations and updates.
  • Actively participate in workstream meetings, driving agendas, preparing meeting minutes, and tracking actions.
  • Monitor project details and status, escalating and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Partner with technology product teams to deliver requirements and facilitate solution delivery.
  • Analyze and parse data using Excel and other tools to recommend firmwide approaches.
  • Consolidate metrics from multiple sources into a cohesive view.
  • Coordinate execution activities of Firmwide Data Risk Governance in the Applications workstream.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Proven track record in business analysis and project management delivery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with people at all levels and across functional areas.
  • Ability to manage complexity and deliver solutions within tight deadlines.
  • Strong personnel and organizational management skills, including expertise in issue and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent business judgment, with the ability to proactively monitor projects and address issues early.
  • Proficient in project management disciplines, instilling structure, process, accountability, and delivery.
  • Proficient with project management tools and PC skills, including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly within investment banking operations.
  • Experience in Data Classification, Protection, and Privacy Risk.
  • Familiarity with distributed computing systems, frameworks, and techniques like data sharding and DDP training.
