Role Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on Data Centre Engineer to support and maintain Dell hardware at a client site. This role involves hardware diagnostics, part replacements, firmware upgrades, and inventory management, ensuring systems remain operational and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair Dell server hardware.
Replace or reseat components as needed.
Run diagnostics and upload logs for validation.
Perform firmware upgrades.
Manage onsite parts inventory (inbound/outbound).
Document service activity and part replacements.
Coordinate with Unisys and client teams for escalations and scheduling.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Experience with server hardware support, ideally Dell PowerEdge XE9680
Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently on-site.
Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
