  • Integrate complex data sources, including IoT sensors, CRM systems, event platforms, and real-time data feeds
  • Establish and enforce data governance best practices, including privacy, security, and quality standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
  • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure access to clean, reliable, and actionable data
  • Architect and optimize cloud-native data infrastructure, including lakes, warehouses, and pipelines on AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Implement real-time streaming and processing capabilities to power live insights and dynamic user experiences
  • Continuously evaluate new technologies and approaches to keep the client at the forefront of data-driven transformation

Required Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related roles
  • Deep understanding of scalable data system design including data lakes, warehouses, and ELT/ETL pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Strong grasp of real-time processing tools and frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming, Kinesis)
  • Expert-level SQL skills and working knowledge of NoSQL systems
  • Experience working with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Familiarity with data compliance regulations and secure architecture principles
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to have Skills:

  • Experience working in fast-paced industries such as sports, media, or live events
  • Familiarity with IoT data pipelines, including ingesting and processing data from sensors or wearables
  • Experience implementing data mesh or data fabric architecture patterns
  • Exposure to graph databases or vector search (e.g., Neo4j, pgvector, Pinecone)
  • Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Knowledge of data cataloging and lineage tools (e.g., AWS Glue Data Catalog, Alation, Collibra)
  • Background in supporting machine learning workflows and MLOps pipelines
  • Prior experience working with streaming video analytics or time-series data

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • Relevant cloud/data certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty) are a plus

  • Hybrid schedule (4 days/week onsite in London)
  • Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and fast-paced digital innovation
  • Opportunity to influence data strategy and architecture for a leading brand in the sports/media space

Salary Range:

  • £60-£90/hr

Location:
