🧚🏻 Our Data team

The Data team at Joko is turning mountains of data into actionable insights for all the teams! The Data team is part of our Operations department led by our COO, and our mission is to empower the company to make informed decisions.

More specifically, the team's responsibilities are:

  • State-of-the-art analytics & data science: We want to be at the forefront of analytics and data science by building top-notch analyses and tools. Our goal is to allow teams to leverage powerful insights from advanced reporting and predictive models.

  • AI-driven autonomy for stakeholders: We are doubling down on the combination of AI and data to unlock a new level of autonomy for our stakeholders, seamlessly bridging data insights with the AI tools we use, built on secure and trustworthy foundations.

  • Spread the data culture: At Joko, we have a strong engineering and tech culture across all teams. We work hand-in-hand with our stakeholders, providing support and training on data tools, and building close relationships to ensure our solutions align perfectly with their operational needs and evolve with them over time.

🎯 What you will do

As a Data Analyst, you will have a cross-functional role and collaborate closely with teams to understand our data and develop insights.

  • Advanced analytics & data science: You will explore and analyze data to uncover trends, patterns, and potential issues that will support decision-making processes across all teams. You will also contribute to data science initiatives by building predictive models and applying statistics to generate deeper insights and drive measurable business impact.

  • Reporting and Data Visualization: You will design and create dashboards and data visualizations that empower stakeholders to explore data autonomously. Leveraging AI tools to move faster, your focus will be on what matters most: defining the right metrics, surfacing meaningful insights, and ensuring data is understood and acted upon across the company.

  • AI and data integration: You will actively contribute to bridging our data with the AI tools we use, ensuring insights are integrated and maintained over time.

  • Stakeholder collaboration: You will work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to understand their needs, collect their feedback, and evangelize data usage to help them make smarter choices and become more autonomous over time.

👀 Who we're looking for
  • Experience: You have 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis (relevant internships can count). We hire across different seniority levels, so we encourage you to apply even if you are more experienced.

  • Interest in AI: You are genuinely curious about AI and its applications, and eager to leverage it in your day-to-day work to move faster and create more impact.

  • Mindset: You have an entrepreneurial mindset, you like challenges, you welcome feedback and you are willing to get better every day to reach excellence.

  • Problem-solving & Analytical skills: You love solving complex problems and analyzing data.

  • Coding knowledge: Mastering SQL and Python is not mandatory, as you can still learn when joining, but it's a plus.

  • Business acumen: You can understand the needs of your business stakeholders and get the big picture of how the business is running.

  • Communication: You know how to present your conclusions clearly and concisely (written and oral).

  • Education: You have graduated from a top-tier business or engineering school.

  • Languages: You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

🤝 Our hiring process
  1. Intro call: Quick screening with the Hiring Manager or the Talent team.

  2. Step 1 – Team interview (45 min): Conversation with two Joko team members (could include the Hiring Manager, people from the team you’d join, or colleagues from other teams).

  3. Step 2 – Role-specific assessments

    • For non-engineering roles: A take-home case study followed by a 45-min interview. We assess both your output and how you think in real time. The exercise will be relevant to your role (e.g. analysis, strategy, or process design).

    • For engineering roles: A 90-min live technical interview on CoderPad covering code understanding, review, system design, and product thinking (with AI serving as a collaboration tool).

  4. Step 3 – Leadership interview (45 min): Conversation with a SteerCo member and a Founder.

  5. References: Up to 3 calls with former colleagues or managers.
