Job Description
The Tocan Data & Configuration Analyst will play a pivotal role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of configurable reference data within the Tocan Onboarding platform. This role demands a strong command of SQL and a proven track record of leveraging it to manage, extract, and report on critical data sets. The successful candidate will work closely with the Client Sucess Team, supporting jurisdictional and client onboarding activities, while also contributing to internal and external reporting requirements through the creation and maintenance of SQL-driven data solutions.

This position also provides the opportunity to influence system enhancements by analyzing current data management practices and collaborating with both the Client Sucess and Product teams to streamline data workflows and improve platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and maintain configurable reference data within the Tocan platform;
  • Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting purposes;
  • Design and implement SQL-based reporting solutions for both internal stakeholders and external clients;
  • Test and validate system configurations and data changes;
  • Support the Implementation Team’s jurisdictional and client-specific onboarding processes;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies and configuration issues, ensuring data accuracy and completeness;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex data-related challenges;
  • Participate in ongoing initiatives to improve data management practices and enhance system functionality;
  • Contribute to the growth of the team with a proactive, flexible, and solutions-focused mindset.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with SQL, including query writing, optimization, and reporting;
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining configurable software reference data;
  • Solid track record of building and supporting internal and client-facing reports using SQL and related tools;
  • Familiarity with Financial Markets software and domain knowledge in Know Your Client (KYC), Investor Onboarding, or Transfer Agency is a strong advantage;
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to work independently and in collaborative team environments;
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolution;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
