Description

We are BOB, a hybrid L2 to build and launch Bitcoin applications. Our mission is accelerating the world’s transition to a fair and transparent financial system through Bitcoin as a credibly neutral, global settlement asset. We believe in a world with access to finance for everyone, everywhere, in a secure and usable manner. 

As a Data Analyst for BOB, you will be leading the quantitative insights to grow and direct decisions at BOB. You are the main person responsible for analysing various on- and off-chain data sources to create and track KPIs and identify trends with a deep product understanding. You will work closely with the product, business, and marketing teams to formulate hypothesis and deliver actionable recommendations focussing on DeFi on BOB.

What you will do

  • Product Metrics and Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on key performance metrics, including channel performance, user activation and retention, TVL, trading volume, and other KPIs.
  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends within the Bitcoin and DeFi ecosystem.
  • Identify DeFi Opportunities: Regularly prepare and update reports about investment opportunities on BOB for our institutional partners.
  • Data Infrastructure: Together with the engineering team, design and build foundational data systems, including ETLs, dashboards, and analytics that drive data-driven decision-making and support scalable business growth.
Requirements
  • Proven ability to lead complex analytical projects from concept to completion, especially in web3 environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python through your experience as business or data analyst or other quant-related position.
  • Deep understanding of DeFi, including protocols, block explorers, and data sources.
  • Eagerness to improve products through fast experimentation, A/B testing, and a data-driven approach.
  • Enjoy working in a results-driven and fast-paced startup environment.
