Reporting to the Associate Director, the Tableau Analyst works across both our Visualisation and Science workstreams, with the opportunity to benefit from the skills from both divisions. From developing reporting solutions and dashboards to modelling and other data solutions, the Tableau Analyst supports various exciting and innovative projects and clients. This role will see you work closely within the analytics team as well with client teams, clients, external partners and other teams across the agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, QA (quality assure) and maintain visually appealing and insightful dashboards in Tableau to effectively communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Understand and translate client requirements to build, QA and maintain efficient workflows. This involves designing and implementing efficient data pipelines to integrate data from various sources into unified, useful formats.
  • Ensure dashboards and workflows reflect changes in client needs, data sources, or reporting requirements.
  • Effectively and independently investigate and troubleshoot user problems.
  • Regularly review workflows and dashboards to identify areas for optimisation and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in data analytics tools, techniques, and best practices, particularly in Alteryx and Tableau.
  • Create clear documentation for dashboards and workflows.
  • Client reporting, involving collecting, cleansing and exploring data sets. Translate data into actionable reports.
  • Support in Modelling and Forecasting projects across the team.
  • Actively participate in project meetings and team stand-ups, taking and sharing detailed summary notes, including deliverables, roles and next steps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. This involves regular communication with stakeholders to ensure that data analysis meets business needs.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • An effective communicator, managing expectations of all stakeholders.
  • Able to proactively ask questions and seek support when required.
  • Detail and process orientated.
  • Time management skills to work across multiple concurrent projects or workstreams.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Tableau.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with ETL tools and/or query languages such as Alteryx, SQL etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience with data warehousing (Snowflake desirable).
  • Knowledge of and experience with Python or R would be highly beneficial.
  • A good understanding of the Media landscape and key concepts.
  • An eagerness to understand client needs and provide solutions.
  • Curiosity and innovation minded, seeking to increase efficiency and adopt automation.
  • Connecting and building relationships with other teams across the agency and clients.
  • Agency experience, with a strong understanding of analytics from an agency's perspective, is a plus.
