This role requires deep proficiency in Tableau (Desktop/Server), strong SQL skills, and a solid foundation in data analysis and analytics. You will lead stakeholder management eliciting requirements, refining designs, and driving adoption while producing clear, precise, and engaging visualizations that support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and optimize SQL datasets (views/materialized views) for Tableau, primarily from AWS Redshift; author complex queries using CTEs, window functions, and aggregations.
  • Design and maintain scalable BI data models for Tableau, leveraging star/snowflake schemas, well-defined dimensions and facts, surrogate keys, and effective relationship/join strategies.
  • Create impactful, user-friendly visualizations and dashboards in Tableau.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable, data-driven insights.
  • Deliver dashboards and reports that clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in data visualization and storytelling, consistently applying best practices to craft clear, compelling narratives and visuals. Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and techniques in data visualization and analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Tableau experience (Desktop/Server), building interactive dashboards and applying best practices in visualization, storytelling, and performance tuning.
  • Strong analytical aptitude and advanced SQL proficiency, including complex queries (CTEs, window functions), and optimizing datasets for BI consumption—ideally on AWS Redshift.
  • Solid grasp of BI data modelling (star/snowflake), well-defined facts/dimensions, and effective join/relationship strategies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy, validation, and consistency.
  • Proven experience in dashboard design and data storytelling, delivering executive-ready visuals.
  • Insurance domain knowledge is preferred and will be considered an advantage.
