Data & AI Strategy Consultant – Manager/Senior Manager

Location: London (Hybrid) | Practice Area: Data & Analytics | Type: Permanent

Craft bold strategies. Inspire data-driven transformation. Lead the AI future.

The Role

Join Capco's Data Strategy & Advisory team as a Manager or Senior Manager, shaping enterprise-level AI and data strategies for the world's leading financial institutions. This is a high-impact role for strategic thinkers passionate about the intersection of data, AI and business value. You will guide clients in envisioning and realising AI-driven competitive advantage—beyond tooling and beyond pipelines—while helping organisations adopt AI-enabled ways of working responsibly, balancing innovation with governance, human judgement and measurable business outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Partner with C-suite clients to define strategic AI ambitions, aligning enterprise data and AI capabilities with business priorities, competitive differentiation and long-term value creation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on emerging AI and data technologies, advising clients on how to responsibly adopt innovations—including Generative AI, Agentic AI and intelligent automation—to accelerate business outcomes.
  • Lead the definition of enterprise data and AI strategies, identifying high-value use cases and translating them into practical roadmaps that balance opportunity, risk, governance and organisational readiness.
  • Facilitate executive workshops, visioning sessions and strategic decision-making, developing compelling board-level narratives and investment cases while using AI-enabled insights and approved AI tools to enhance analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate across Capco's Engineering, Architecture, Risk, Product, Innovation and Data teams to ensure strategic recommendations are actionable, commercially viable and aligned with responsible AI principles.

Beyond client delivery, you will also:

  • Contribute to Capco's perspective on how AI is reshaping the financial services value chain and help develop market-leading propositions.
  • Lead business development conversations, shape proposals and strengthen Capco's position as a trusted advisor in AI and data strategy.
  • Mentor colleagues, fostering strategic thinking, innovation and the effective use of AI-enabled ways of working across the wider team.
  • Develop strategy methodologies, accelerators and reusable assets that improve delivery quality, consistency and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' experience in strategy consulting, digital transformation or corporate innovation, ideally within Financial Services.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data and AI strategy, including Generative AI, AI operating models, responsible AI, ethics and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop compelling executive presentations, influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex concepts with clarity.
  • Experience designing and facilitating executive workshops, aligning cross-functional stakeholders and driving strategic decision-making.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity with a collaborative, outcome-focused approach and a curiosity for adopting AI-enabled methods that improve productivity, insight and delivery quality.
Bonus Points For
  • Strategy consulting experience within Financial Services, including banking, insurance or asset management.
  • Familiarity with AI regulation (such as the EU AI Act), AI governance, model risk management or responsible AI frameworks.
  • Understanding of modern data platforms, analytics capabilities and AI technologies from a strategic rather than technical perspective.
  • Experience mentoring consultants, developing strategy methodologies or building reusable consulting accelerators.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership, proposition development or business development within AI, data or digital transformation.
Why Join Capco
  • Deliver high-impact technology solutions for Tier 1 financial institutions.
  • Work in a collaborative, flat, and entrepreneurial consulting culture.
  • Access continuous learning, training, and industry certifications.
  • Be part of a team shaping the future of digital financial services.
  • Help shape the future of digital transformation across FS & Energy.
Benefits
  • Core Benefits: Discretionary bonus, competitive pension, health insurance, life insurance and critical illness cover.
