Lead enterprise data governance by defining frameworks, policies, and operating models. Manage data quality, metadata, catalogs, lineage, stewardship, compliance, and MDM. Collaborate with stakeholders, run governance councils, track KPIs, and support analytics, cloud, and AI initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to establish, implement, and manage enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data quality, data stewardship, compliance, security, and regulatory adherence across the organization's data landscape.
The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data owners, data stewards, architects, and technology teams to drive data governance initiatives that support business objectives and enable trusted, secure, and well-managed data assets.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications- Define and implement enterprise Data Governance strategies, frameworks, and operating models.
- Establish and maintain data policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Drive Data Quality Management initiatives, including monitoring, profiling, cleansing, and remediation activities.
- Develop and maintain Data Catalogs, Business Glossaries, and Metadata Management processes.
- Define Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, and Data Custodian responsibilities across business functions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards related to data management and privacy.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to improve data consistency, accuracy, integrity, and lineage.
- Lead Data Governance Council meetings and governance reviews.
- Implement and monitor data governance KPIs, metrics, and reporting dashboards.
- Support master data management (MDM) initiatives.
- Conduct data governance maturity assessments and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
- Manage data risk, security, retention, and compliance requirements.
- Support enterprise data transformation, analytics, AI/ML, and cloud migration initiatives.

- Experience in metadata management, data cataloging, and data quality initiatives.
- Strong understanding of Data Lineage, Data Stewardship, and Governance operating models.
- Experience collaborating with business, risk, compliance, and technology stakeholders.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
