About the role

At Haleon, our mission is to deliver better everyday health with humanity. As part of our ongoing transformation, we’re seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join us as Digital & Technology Performance Director..

This senior leadership role reports to the Global Head of Performance, Transformation and Delivery. You will be accountable for ensuring the performance of >£300m operating costs, create and own standard ways of working and reporting across D&T operations and financial management. You’ll drive transparency, performance, and continuous improvement across our global technology and operations landscape.

The role will be partnering closely with all areas of Haleon that are accountable for Tech operating costs as well our finance and procurement teams.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Catalog & Product Portfolio: Define and maintain a comprehensive D&T Service Catalog, ensuring all services are clearly articulated, measured, and aligned with business demand.

  • KPI’s, Dashboards & Reporting: Develop and manage operational and financial dashboards, metrics, and playbooks, supporting D&T pillars and preparing for executive and stakeholder reviews.

  • Supplier & Contract Management: Partner with procurement to ensure robust third-party supplier management, contract control, and cost benchmarking, driving industry best practices. Manage and maintain a contract tracker for all D&T contracts

  • Unit Cost Model & Financial Planning: Build and implement a unit cost model for D&T operational spend, providing transparency and driving optimized behaviors. Oversee operational run cost tracking and forecasting.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the tracking of operational performance trends, prioritizing and measuring improvement activities across D&T services. Establish and manage cost optimisation plans for all D&T Opex cost across the enterprise.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Lead communications with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners. Champion technical storytelling and strategic alignment. Represent D&T at relevant cost boards.

  • Stakeholder Communications & Technical Storytelling: Lead technical storytelling, steering groups, and support executive decision-making using data to drive change.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven Leadership: Significant experience in large-scale enterprise IT operations, service management, and cross-functional delivery, with a global remit.

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to create clarity in complex, interdependent environments and align digital strategy with broader business goals.

  • Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of multi-million GBP budgets, cost transparency, and value realization.

  • Change Agent: Demonstrated success in driving operational and financial excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Problem Solving: Highly skilled in identifying and solving complex problems, considering impacts across multiple business functions.

  • Collaboration & Influence: Exceptional communication and influencing skills, comfortable engaging with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners. Skilled in negotiation and stakeholder management.

  • Regulatory & Supplier Management: Experience in highly regulated environments and supplier management, including operation of cloud-hosted technology estates and understanding of cyber controls.

  • Influence Without Authority: Ability to influence outcomes and drive change across teams where direct authority may not exist.

  • Strategic Problem Solving: Skill in synthesizing disparate information, identifying overlooked impacts, and resolving complex, interdependent challenges.

  • Stakeholder Management: Broader stakeholder management, including direct executive engagement and external market representation.

  • Global Leadership: Experience leading global teams and initiatives, setting strategy and resolving challenges impacting the entire enterprise.
     

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience, with 10+ years in enterprise IT operations and at least 3 years in senior leadership integrating service and financial performance
