Our capability and tools 🚀 

Our team deliver dozens of cyber and resilience exercises each year. You can expect to work with a range of approaches, tools, and disciplines to deliver high-quality resilience and exercising outcomes, including:

  • Our exercising methodologies to create engaging tabletop and live cyber incident exercises.
  • Operational resilience frameworks (mapping, impact tolerances, scenario testing).
  • Incident response, crisis management and post-incident review structures.

What you can expect 🌱 

  • Work with clients to design, develop, and deliver scenario exercises, including operational resilience severe-but-plausible scenarios and cyber-attack simulations (ransomware, data breach, DDoS, insider threat etc.)
  • Use your technical and analytical skills to help clients problem-solve, assess maturity, and strengthen cyber security and resilience capabilities, as well as contributing to internal propositions and innovation.
  • Take ownership for delivering high quality impactful exercises to test responses to operational disruptions.
  • Hybrid working with the team or on client site for a minimum of two days per week. Time spent on site may vary by assignment.

Qualifications

Essential requirements ✅ 

Even if you don’t meet every requirement below, feel free to still apply as we are often hiring for similar roles which your background might be better suited to. 

  • Significant hands-on experience designing, developing, and delivering exercises and scenario tests, such as:
    • Operational resilience severe-but-plausible scenario testing
    • Cyber-attack simulations (e.g. ransomware, data breach, DDoS)
    • Incident and crisis management exercises
    • Cross-functional or cross-business exercises involving multiple senior stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of operational resilience or cyber security frameworks, such as dependency mapping, impact tolerances, scenario testing, important business services, threat modelling, or incident response.
  • Track record of confidentially facilitating exercises at operational and management levels.
  • Ability to translate complex resilience or cyber threats into clear exercise objectives, injects, and evaluation criteria.
  • Strong experience facilitating exercises with senior leadership teams, including running structured debriefs and producing high-quality reports.
  • You thrive in problem-solving and analytical thinking, with the ability to draw out insights and actionable recommendations.
  • You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, working confidently with technical and non-technical teams.

 

Please be aware that some of our UK roles at PA Consulting require a UK security clearance.

All PA people are required to undergo background checks and to achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard however, some UK roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting, where applicants must have at least 5 years of continuous residency in the UK.

We therefore ask that you only apply if you meet the residency requirements (i.e. you are a British citizen or have been resident in the UK for the past 5 years), as this is the prerequisite for a security clearance.   • Round 1: Either a competency or technical interview (60 mins) 
  • Round 2: Either a competency or technical interview, whichever you didn’t do at first round (60 mins) 
  • Final round 🎉: Meeting with a PA leader - a mini case study and discussion around your client-centricity (60 mins)
